OOC; Heh, heh... ^^' Sorry about the mistakes! I hope I've got it all right this time: ...P ouncepaw:..: Pouncepaw pranced out of her den, a broad smile on her face. She took one pawstep -- squish! -- and made a funny sound. The apprentice blinked and peered down at her toes. She took another step, and another, and soon the she-cat was running in circles, splashing and leaping and stamping her paws onto the wet stuff. They soaked through her pelt, but it didn't matter. Squish, squash, squish! Ahh, the pure satisfaction of it! She kept on going and going...
A voice snapped, "Stop it, could you?"
Pouncepaw whipped around. "Eh?"
Eaglepaw was crankily scratching at himself, obviously annoyed. A bug jumped off. The young she-cat suppressed a giggle. She had heard about the apprentice's recent case with the ticks.
The tom was not pleased. "I said, stop it, could you?!"
Pouncepaw blinked. "I could, but I won't." A silly grin spread across her lips, and she zipped in and out of the den, bringing all the wetness of the slush with her - and the sound.
Eaglepaw let out a fury of anger, and stomped away toward the Old Tree.
"That cat," Pouncepaw laughed, having too much fun to think about his maddening tone. But the direction he was walking stimulated something. The apprentice blinked. Her white-splotched tail swished aside as she remembered.
Her training session - and she was late. [/blockquote]

[Rootpelt]
The tom had been waiting patiently, very patiently as he sat there, waiting for his new -and first- apprentice. She was horribly late, and the sandy tom's haunches had paid dearly for it; the slushy, half melted snow leaving no place dry or without a chill to sit. He had long ago grown too stiff in the cold to remain standing, and pacing was useless he thought. Although this was his first apprentice the warrior felt no giddy excitement, or even a rushing bought of pride. He knew his place as a warrior, and part of being so is training young ones. T’was nothing to get overly excited about.
For the past while he had been remembering when she had been assigned to him, her playful, hyper personality had shone through clearly. Although the tom wouldn't like to think it, he knew it was going to be a long duty of training. Well, as long as little Pouncepaw didn’t piss him off he’d be fine…Although her continuing tardiness for one of their first lessons was really plucking at his temper strings already.
His annoyance was pushed away though as a thought came to mind. The breeze was playing with his face-fur, the camp more or less positioned in front of his waiting form. The kit wouldn’t smell him coming. With that he decided to play something of a prank on her; simply for being so late and making him wait out in the cold.
As spring was just arriving, the grasses still remained their yellowed, tortured selves. Rootpelt took this to his advantage and doing his best to calculate where the apprentice would burst from he hid, downwind and out of sight he hoped to remain undetected until he wished not to be…
//OoC// hehe, sorry for procrastinating ^^;

OOC; Same here xD Sorry about the poorly written post...Muse is not on my side o.o ...P ouncepaw:..: Paws raced across the moor at blurring speed. Her heart was throbbing, ready to burst. Lungs shriveled up dry. Fur dripped drops crazier than running stream water.
She broke into a skidding stop in front of the Old Tree, a dustcloud trailing at her heels.
"Rootpelt?"
The young apprentice perked her ears, narrowing her eyes in suspicion. She sniffed around her vigerously, spinning 360 in a circle.
Pouncepaw whimpered, "Rootpelt...?"
Her mentor was no where to be seen, nor smelled. A worried expression molted onto her face. Would if her mentor just...quit? StarClan, her first session and she bombed it with crowfood! Or would if...he went back to search for her? Pouncepaw froze. Would if...
She could go on with those forever. Pouncepaw turned around to head back. A soft breeze licked her fur, causing the she-cat to crinkle her nose and squish her eyes shut. She opened her mouth to give a yowl, but dust flew in there instead. It tasted like crowfood. Pouncepaw spat it out.
"StarClan, what am I to do?" she let out, looking very dejected indeed. She sighed, and winded around and around the Old Tree. A scent drifted to her at the half-way point, the slightest little trace. The breeze seemed to whisper in her ear.
Pouncepaw jumped back, surprised. Her eyes scrolled the scene warily, but still no mentor was to be found. But there was that scent...the tiniest little hint, and whatever it was, muskrat or Rootpelt, she ought to find out.
The high golden grasses would hide her perfectly. Pouncepaw shuffled in as quietly as she could, and stuck her nose high in the air to find that peculiar smell. Eyes clapsed closed to concentrate. Slowly, pawstep by pawstep, Pouncepaw walked...and walked...
"EIYEEE!!!" a high-pitched scream of the most ear-wrecking wail erupted out of her lungs, rocketing sky-high from her mouth, echoing again and again and again with a deafening blow. "A snake! A snake! A snake!"
"Idiot, that's a tail," a tom snorted, "And quit the yowling - you're turning me into crowfood." Apparently, Eaglepaw, who had headed here eariler, was here to.
The problem was, it wasn't Eaglepaw's tail (although that would've been bad, anyway). It was Rootpelt's. [/blockquote]

OOC: Is it ok that I join this thread or not. If so, I'm going to go ahead and post after Pouncepaw . But if it's not OK, Please PM me and I'll go delete the post I made at once. IC: *Loudpaw* A young dark brown tom with bright blue eyes wondered around towards the training grounds were he trained with Snowpelt during their training sessions. He loved to explore the territory alone once in a while and get some free time to himself. It always made Loudpaw sad to be alone and yet at times like this he didn't really care about no one being with him. Loudpaw soon hear-ed a loud scream and some how knew it was Pouncepaw. He raced towards the direction he smelt her scent and soon found himself near some grass to see Pouncepaw mistake Rootpelt's tail for a snake and a chuckled a little. He thought that he should possibly leave before they saw him. But before even moving on paw a real snake lenged forward at his paw and Loudpaw sliently jumped out the way with a hiss to the worm like thing. His blue eye's sparkled with anger at the snake. Loudpaw licked his jaws loudly and stared at the snake as if in a trance of anger. Just before the snake had a chance to get away or attack him. Loudpaw hissed loudly and lenged at it himself. He bite down on it's neck snapping it in hulf with a small smirk on his face with pride at the good job he'd just done. Killing his snake would keep his Clanmates and any kits who decide to explore the terrtory safe from it's biting mouth. But then Loudpaw went stiff as he suddlenly felt dizzing and fell over in to a blurry world that wasn't clear through his blue eyes. Loudpaw looked at through the grass where his friend and her mentor who he hoped would realize he was there. Slowly Loudpaw looked at his right paw and bearly saw the image of a bite "How....I....I thought....I ....was to quick" he said in a raspy tone. Loudpaw was breathing loudly and just felt like he had a fever that was just unbearly.

OOC; Eeep! It's been so long xD Before I reply, Breezy, just two quick notes: first off, you're barely ever here anymore T_T Second off, the 'snake' wasn't a snake - if you read correctly, it was Rootpelt's tail >.>

OOC; 'scuse me for double-posting, but using the quote button is so much of a convenience... ...P ouncepaw:..: "A snake! Gyee!" Pouncepaw cried shrilly, ready to bat the "snake" away.
Apparently, the apprentice hadn't been listening to Eaglepaw's comments.
It didn't matter, however, when an actual snake came out. Now Pouncepaw was really freaked. She jumped back and her fur puffed out in a jerk. "Get," she huffed, "away!"
"Whatever you're doing it's not helping," Eaglepaw snorted.
Her eyes glanced at the denmate. "Stop it, Eaglepaw. It's not like you know how to handle a snake or any --"
Just then the creature slithered close, jaws ready to snap. Pouncepaw froze in terror. Its slick tongue darted out, just a tail-length away from the tips of the she-cat's whiskers. She didn't even tremble -- she was paralyzed, just like that.
Right when things would've gone wrong, Eaglepaw jumped foward and swiftly nipped at the snake's neck. It whipped around and lunged for his tail. "Mouse-dung, I forgot this wasn't a piece of prey," he muttered briskly and pounced, claws dug deep in the animal's skin.
"How did you -- what did you do -- why -- do that?!" Pouncepaw choked, burning hot under her pelt with embarressment. She totally put herself in danger in front of her clanmates - and with Rootpelt so near by, too! But even then, this was her very first encounter with the snake...but surely it was Eaglepaw's too. Why did he...What did he...How?! she wondered in bewilderment.
There wasn't much time for further thoughts, though, because just then the reek of blood flooded her nose along with the mixed scent of a clanmate. Without thinking, the apprentice cried, "Quick, Eaglepaw! Someone's hurt!" and dashed away to find Loudpaw, about to collapse, staring at his right paw.
"You -- you were bitten?!" she mewed in horror. [/blockquote]

[Rootpelt]
The apprentice’s yowling never seemed to quit, and along with paws probing at his tail, Rootpelt was faced with another annoyance as he heard a moody growl reprimand his apprentice’s ear splitting shrieks. With his tail giving an exasperated thrash he slipped out from the grasses, ears situated against his head in his spiked chilled face fur as he faced the young she-cat. Ignoring that fact he had been found out; leaving his tail rather out in the open as a stupid mistake, he gave a gruff sounding meow. “Do you know how long you’ve kept me waiting?” His fur fluffed up feebly as if to back up his words, as his paws were already numb from the melting snow and a good amount of his pelt was tinted with the color of wet earth.
His attentions were quickly drifting though; as the sharp scent of some creature caught in his nostrils. Ears flicking upwards his fur bristled slightly; he knew exactly what that thing slithering about was. He could never forget the souring scent, as one of the apprentices training beside him at the time had been bitten, and nearly perished from the toxic venom of its fangs. His stance was aggressive as the patterned back showed itself, body trailing its bobbing head as it slithered forward.
It slipped closer - not to him, but his stone carved apprentice; frozen in terror. Even though he was a little more than annoyed at his newest student, he wasn’t about to let a snake rob the clan of a future warrior, or simply any cat. He was just about to dart forward when the other voice he had heard in his hiding spot beat him to it; the sandy brown apprentice leaping forward to duel with the creature. Somewhat startled, and also relieved he watched, ready to jump in if needed. There was another note in him though at the moment that wanted to snap at the apprentice; taking on a snake when so young.
Never the less, the reptile was defeated; and just in time for Pouncepaw to race off. Frustrated, but also worried at her cries of injury, he followed; finding yet another apprentice within the area. Annoyed that there were so many of these young, inexperienced cats out alone he stalked up to the pair of Loudpaw and his own apprentice with his neck fur spiking.
At hearing the she-cats horrified meow though, Rootpelt’s attention was dropped to the tom’s paw; in which he did notice the bite. The fur parted mildly to show the beginning of blood oozing from the twin punctures. Suddenly, the tom seemed to come alive, his head shot over to catch Pouncepaw’s gaze as he ordered hurriedly: “Help me move him; we need to get him back right now.” Whirling about he called to Eaglepaw as well. “You; run back to camp, tell Windblaze someone’s been bitten, go!” Turning again he gripped the wounded apprentice’s scruff and with the strength, and the determination of that of LionClan he began to half drag, half carry the tom back towards camp. All his focus was on getting the young cat back to camp; he knew it didn’t take long for snake poison to settle in, and in no doubt the young tom he hurried home was already at the line between saveable; and dead.
//OoC// hehe, sorry for procrastinating...AGAIN D=

OOC; It's fine, Firefly. xD And, oh, this is getting intense...*laughs* ...E aglepaw[/font][/size] .: Apparently, Eaglepaw himself was astounded at his act. Some impulse just got into him and he just...did it somehow. The young tom stared at his paws. My, what had gotten into him just then? Eaglepaw just froze, not a twitch of a whisker as Pouncepaw blabbered on with shock. The she-cat had thought he had did it for her, which was truely nonsense. Something inside of him just said that maybe...maybe it was all for the feat, the glory, the plain noblility of the act that had him do it. Praise is sure to be delivered once he's back at camp. But it was not for her. No; not in a million moons would Eaglepaw try saving a cat as bee-brained as Pouncepaw.
She cried something but he didn't pay attention. It didn't matter much, because a bloody odor came upon his senses, and Eaglepaw knew it must've been Loudpaw. The other apprentice's smell was lingering around, anyway, if not partially covered by a fowl reek. But then, it was Loudpaw's blood anyway, is it not?
So Eaglepaw dashed to the scene, his face expressionless. He still felt the aftershock of his feat. One moment he stared, and then suddenly, Pouncepaw just jumped -- "What are you looking at? Do something!!" -- which made him squeal (like a kit). [/blockquote] ...P ouncepaw:..: Pouncepaw's paws shuffled uncomfortably, her tail thrashing about in a hurry. What could she do? What is she doing? She's just staring at a crippled clanmate...And not doing anything to help!
Suddenly a thought came across her head that maybe if she couldn't do anything, someone else should. The nearest cat around should've been Eaglepaw, whom she had called to follow. If he could take down a snake, though Pouncepaw, then surely recovering Loudpaw shouldn't be too farfetched. Of course that is mouse-dung, because fighting ability has nothing to do with medicine cat skills. But Pouncepaw was in a hurry and she couldn't think straight. So she just looked at her denmate, saw he was doing nothing, and jumped at him.
"What are you looking at? Do something!!" she shrieked.
His reply? A squeal, like a kittens. Pouncepaw could've laughed if they weren't in such a terrible situation. Instead, she took this offensively and hissed, "You're the one who killed that snake. If you can do that so easily then you better be able to help Loudpaw, too, or you're crowfoo--"
"Help me move him; we need to get back to camp right now," Rootpelt suddenly mewed.
Now was Pouncepaw's turn to squeal, and this was even more so than a kit. Quickly dying to recover, she cried, "Y-yes, Rootpelt! I'll do it right away!" and ran over to Loudpaw's side, closing her jaws around his scruff. She tugged. "You'll be okay. Hang in there!" she muttered through muffled meows. [/blockquote] ...E aglepaw[/font][/size] .: Eaglepaw shot a glare as Pouncepaw squealed even more so like a kit than he did. His insides burned with embarressment, though, so he didn't say anything back. Even worse, he felt even more guilty than Pouncepaw for being as useless as mouse-dung.
Luckily, Rootpelt came to the rescue and saved him of this guilt. "You," he ordered, "Run back to camp. Tell Windblaze someone's been bitten, go!"
And so he ran. His legs moved faster than his paws could carry, so the poor tom tripped and collapsed, but he kept running, for he had nothing else better to do. The life of a fellow clanmate is in his paws. [/blockquote]

*Loudpaw* Once bright blue eye's slowly opened when he felt like he was being moved. Loudpaw looked at the bearly ground "Wha?" was all he could rasp out. All he remembered was being bitten by a snake and falling to the ground. He felt no pain, he just wanting to rest. Just then everything went black, yet Loudpaw was still awake. He gasped and looked around quickly in a panike. Loudpaw tried to put his paws to the ground for banlance. "What's going on, oh StarClan why can't I see" he thought to himself. He was afraid he'd never be a warrior without his eye's. A tear fell from his cheek and hit the ground sounding loud to him. (Sorry I took so long to reply guys )
