[Blackear] [The color at one extreme end of the scale of grays, opposite to white, absorbing all light incident upon it...]
[Tom] [RiverClan] [14 Moons] [Warrior]
____________[LOOKS]
Blackear is a slim built Tom, not built with the firm muscle of some cats in favor of a more flexible form that can fit into many more places. By appearance, though, he wouldn't look like much of a fighter. His build combined with his attitude, unless you're a friend of his, would make him seem a relatively shifty character, true or not. But then, that doesn't give you much idea of what he looks like, does it?
Living up to his name, Blackear has one black ear, his right ear, the spot of black streaking down to the back of his neck, playing at the edge of his right shoulder blade, moving steadily on his lean form as he walks. He has white fur other than that along his head, except for a few black hairs along the top of his muzzle. His eyes burn a bright Ambery-green color, and his teeth are long and fine. His facial features are fairly sharp - pointed ears, pointed nose, small chin, etc. However, he generally gives off an indifferent expression, eyes flicking to watch what goes on around him.
The black that goes to his shoulder blade isn't the only black on him. His left legs has a black tube mark on it from the top joint of his paw to the elbow join of his leg. All four legs are lean but strong, with paws that are of a small size for an average cat. Not the best for swimming, but he manages despite that. He only has average claws - his best attack is his bite, definitely. Then again, it matches up with the rest of his body perfectly fine.
Speaking of the rest of his body... He has a lean body with a covering of white fur, except for the black spots, two of three I've already described. The third one splays across the back half of his back and down a bit of his right flank, going over his rump and thinning into small spots until it reaches his belly fur. Between some of these spots there are hints of a grey fur, but not very much of it.
Finishing, his tail is slim and white, finishing off his appearance with a pointed tip. The last, minor detail is his long white whiskers and light pink tongue, the most minor of details around his muzzle.
____________[PERSONA]
"Everybody is the protagonist of their own story, with the people around them only supporting roles. While you may think the person sitting next to you is a side character to your life, they are the primary player in theirs..." - A Variation of a quote from Caught in the Act by Peter Moore
Many would call Blackear an arrogant young warrior with no sense of respect. Many others would say he's a future traitor, even, a rebel. While he can be said to be a teenage cat, in a sense, this view on the poor cat isn't necessarily true... At least, not all the way through.
No, it's not that he's rude. He doesn't see the sense of complimenting other cats, so a compliment from him is very rare. In fact, he rarely speaks at all unless roused, leading to sharp comments. When annoyed, angered, or aggravated, she is quick to speak, and often retorts. Any other time though, he is quiet, sitting back without showing much of any expression of his features. He's even prone to zoning out, staring into the blank space in front of him and just thinking. This can be seen as rude, too though, because he'll often ignore people. This leads to a bad reputation around him.
However, really he's just shy and introverted, afraid to speak up, afraid to show emotion for fear of showing weakness. He's a Tom with a smaller build, and it can be hard for him to fill a Warrior's role, in his own mind, if he can't be strong in every aspect possible. He's still very young as a warrior, and he'll admit, if you can befriend him to get him to speak, that he has a lot to learn, though.
He considers himself a background character, and forces himself into a position in which he tried not to be noticed, and doesn't show obvious notice to other cats. That doesn't mean, though, that he won't try his absolute hardest to serve his clan. He isn't the best of fighters, but he isn't half bad either, and he'll use his own cunning to strike at the opponent.
He is a very deep thinker too, a philosophical cat, in a sense. He doesn't often share his thoughts, and, if given alone time, is prone to talking to himself - the only company he's truly comfortable with.
Despite his cool demeanor and pretending he doesn't care, he does care about anything just as much as the next cat. He just refuses to share it, to the extent that he almost seems emotionless.
____________[HISTORY]
Blackear doesn't have a very significant history, really. Born in a litter, raised as an apprentice, made into a Warrior... Nothing overly special. He's a full Riverclan warrior with two siblings, neither of which he speaks to often, and an honor for the warrior code. He isn't extremely talented in one respect or another, and he isn't overly horrible at anything either, according to his apprentice-hood mentor. He was born and raised just like any other kit.
He does, however, have a slightly downhill view in the eyes of the elders, mostly due to his zoning out and refusing to speak much or participate in any of their conversations. Not that he can really help it. It's just not in his interest to socialize. He holds no prejudice against them, other than their lack of ability to see this.
He was born in a litter of three kits to a mother who'd been taken out of apprentice duty after being blinded by a Thunderclan warrior at a time when they had bad relations, and a father who was a stronger warrior in the clan. While the kits would go out and romp around in the clearing outside the Nursery, it was easy to see that he wasn't the most social of them. He'd join a game of tag, a play fight on occasion, but he wouldn't start anything.
This continued into his apprenticeship as well. He just wasn't quite comfortable around the other apprentices. He was made a warrior only recently, and the ceremony wasn't one that he really enjoyed in any way.
Other than that, there isn't too much that is different about him - only his personality quirks.
____________[IC] [(Technically, this isn't my first bio, HOWEVER, since coming back, I will treat everything as though I am a new player unless specifically asked about my past experience on the site. Therefore, there will be an IC.)]
Blackear placed his paws in front of him for balance and leaned back, stretching out as he woke up for the morning when the sun shone into the warriors den. He slowly padded his way to the entrance, sidestepping the forms of the other warriors as he moved, crawling out into the light of dawn. He wasn't the first up, of course. He walked past another Warrior as he made his way back from Dawn Patrol. Apparently Dawn Patrol had left early that morning.
His Amber-green eyes wandered around the camp for a moment, settling on the entrance. His tail twitched for a moment, wondering if he should go ahead and go on a hunting trip or patrol, or if he should wait until he's assigned something. Deciding to wait and hope he wasn't scolded for doing nothing, he sat by the entrance to the Warriors den, tail twitching as he watched the awakening camp and listening to the nearby river, taking in the scents of the water and the nearby cats. This was home, and he'd defend with his life, like any great warrior would.
As he was thinking, something shifted in the vegetation nearby, causing him to jump a bit. He was starting to zone out again. Great. He turned around to see Silverstripe approaching, with a couple other warriors following close by. Where had they gone? He shrugged the thought off as he mewed a quick hello to his sister and acknowledged the other cats' presence.
He then realized she looked a bit panicked. What had happened? She pushed her way past him, running up to try to get the attention of Riverstar. When did she wake up? He'd been zoned out a bit longer than he'd thought, apparently. He watched curiously, wondering what was going on. If it was really important, he figured the clan would be informed.
However, considering the presence of three of Riverclan's Warriors... How many had gone? They didn't look injured in any way, just really shaken up... He tilted his head to the side a bit as the group spoke in hushed mews to the leader, and said nothing. He'd figure it all out soon enough.
____________[FAMILY]
Ok, they aren't dead, but they don't really exist except for the sake of the character background unless somebody really wants to do something with that, so... If that's a problem, I can kill them all off, too. Hehe.
