Blood. in violent times, you shouldn't have to sell your soul. acting on your best behaviour.turn your back on mother nature. && Riverfleet managed to wiggle out from underneath Silverstar. The deputy's black fur glistened with blood. She slashed at Silverstar again, aiming for the cat's blue eyes, with the intent to tear out her eyes. Riverfleet hissed insanely, aware that they were near the gorge, but too far for it to be a danger. Riverfleet's plan was to give Silverstar serious wounds - more like gouges. As long as it worked, the leader would be dead.

Silverstar was about to come back with a sharp retort, but the black she-cat raked her claws down her own soft belly, causing the leader to yowl in pain. Cranefeather, who'd so far been a little inactive and off to the side, charged at her, pinning her to the ground. She hardly listened to his words, struggling like a mad cat.
"...the good of RiverClan!"
The angry words had finally reached her ears, and suddenly, Siverstar went limp. Storm blue eyes bored into Creanfeather's icey ones, which were shining brightly with bloodthirst. She started to speak, slowly, quietly, but with each word her voice became, stronger, louder, burning with her newly unleashed fury. "You do not know what is good for RiverClan. You proved that to the forest today by breaking the warrior code and betraying me. I am all that RiverClan represents, their chosen leader! You will never know what is good for RiverClan, and how could you? You are not part of the Clan as long as I remain in body and spirit. From now on, I have exiled you, so you may die as rouges, to spend the rest of your lives not knowing StarClan's grace! May your spirit rest in the Dark Forest!" Her voice was choking with rage, so she had to spit out the last words. "RiverClan will not stand to be lead by a motherless actor and an self-absorbed airhead," she snarled, just as Riverfleet slashed at her. She just barely managed to turn her head, so that the claws dug deeply into her cheek, leaving bloody gouges. She was not fighting clan mates anymore-- now she was fighting intruders on her territory. She no longer held back. The normally calm and trusting she-cat had snapped. With all her strength, she shoved up against Cranefeather, batting her back legs against his underside. Now, she felt confidence flowing through her. She was Silverstar, leader of RiverClan, blessed by StarClan with nine lives. They would not find killing her an easy task.

Now, it was about to get very ugly. Riverfleet angled herself enough, to make an attempt to shove Silverstar into the gorge. The adrenaline was that strong right now. If that didn't work, she'd attempt to rip at the leader's throat. She was still hissing, but she was trying to keep herself from showing her own guilt. And it did the job okay. She was going to do anything to get rid of the cause of her guilt. And the only thing to keep ANYONE from seeing her guilt was the wall of rage, and hatred.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Cranefeather snarled in disgust as Silverstar struggled. If he were her - well, he wouldn't be so stupid as to let himself be pinned down, but anyway - he would ave saved his energy, then flung the opposing cat off. But no, she had to struggle like an imbecile... She was actually stronger than he had guessed. But no match for Cranefeather's brawn. He could feel Silverstar getting angrier and angrier, until she yowled out a touching speech... How pathetic, her final words. "RiverClan will not stand to be lead by a motherless actor and an self-absorbed airhead," she finally snarled, ending her pretty, meaningless speech. Cranefeather hissed, fury running through his veins. "And I guess you have a mother?" he growled. He wasn't going to deny the actor part. But motherless? He snorted. He glanced at Riverfleet. She was preparing to attack, and hissing continuously. Oh well, maybe they could strip Silverstar of two lives at once. His sharpened claws reached for her throat, and he purred with satisfaction as he felt his strong paw ripping through silver fur.

Riverfleet growled."I'm not an airhead. Maybe not even self absorbed. But to think I even felt guilty... Now maybe I'm not guilty anymore." She had stopped fighting long enough to say it. She slashed out at the leader's throat again, feeling her claws dig into fur. She was angry. She had admitted she was guilty. Now she just had to get rid of Silverstar.

"Of course I did, foxdung. Bluewhisker, mighty deputy of RiverClan," she whispered, relaxing slightly. She knew she would see her mother soon. Although Riverfleet hissed something as well, she did not hear it, for claws dug into her throat, spewing blood. Nothing could prepare Silverstar for the agonizing pain, and the shuddering panic that welled up in her when she could not breath. As Riverfleet landed the second blow, the sleek silver she-cat could not struggle with conciousness any longer. Blackness quickly swarmed into her vision, eating away that vicious white face with the sparkling blue eyes...
Silverstar slowly blinked her eyes back open. She was in Fourtrees, surrounded by the warriors of StarClan. Slowly she rose to her paws-- she had been here before, in this clearing, with these warriors. She was not as terrified as her first time. "Welcome back," two starry figures whispered, stepping forward. Silverstar nodded respectfully at the older toms. A faint outline of a silver she-cat with pale blue-green eyes stood beside one of the toms that had stepped up. Silverstar stared at her copy, just a little clearer than before. "Hawktalon, Cinderbird," she begged, naming her deceased mentor and father, her claws sinking deep into the glittering green grass. "You have to help me somehow. I know these two will not give up until I have joined your ranks forever. Warn Ravenclaw, Smokestream, even the other Clans if you must! I can't die. My Clan needs me," a tone of desperation clung to her words, and she stared at each tom in turn, pleading. The two toms glanced at each other before Cinderbird turned to her. "We will do what we can. For now, all we can provide is our support, advice, and hope," As Cinderbird spoke his last word, Hawktalon stepped forward once again, making that pale, shimmering copy of the RiverClan leader turn its head. Silverstar shudded, turning her gaze away from her past lives. "I know I trained you well. You can beat these two. We'll be watching," he whispered, at with that, the StarClan cats started to fade, Fourtrees disolving before her eyes. "But... wait!" she cried, furiously tearing up clumps of grass. It was useless-- the familiar RiverClan scent was starting to fill her sense. "Wait..."
Silverstar did not open her eyes right away. In fact, she hardly dared to breath. I was leader before these two were even born. It will remain that way with their death, she thought, pretending to be as motionless as possible. She was down to 5 lives-- she could easily beat them before she lost another life. Though her throat still throbbed, she could slowly feel her strength returning to her. Let them believe Im finished. I'll show them the rewards for following the Warrior code, she thought, fighting to keep her breath slow and shallow, so it was hardly noticable. She felt a slight glimmer of sastifaction when she remembered that if she killed either of them, they were gone for good. They had no other lives to rely on. Come on.... walk away. Go tell the Clan Im finished, and you'll see what happens.

Riverfleet thought she was dead. But just to make sure, she had clawed at the side that was visible. But she noticed the faint falling and rising of her chest. She growled, and began to tear into her side, her claws probably deep in her pelt. She couldn't take it anymore, she just had to get rid of the hindrance that was Silverstar. She wouldn't even speak the name anymore. Riverfleet's eyes glimmered with bloodthirst.

Run baby, run Don't ever look back They'll tear us apart If you give them the chance
Cranefeather's eyes glinted. Silverstar was finally dead - she sure was strong. But only temporarily. She would comeback, her fatal wound healed. He wondered how many times she would have to be killed. If he wasn't sure he'd just toss her into the Gorge afterwards. Her body lay completely still. He froze as well, watching Silverstar incredibly closely. His ice-blue eyes started to hurt. Just before he blinked, he saw her chest move ever so slightly. But before he could jump back onto her and swipe her again, Riverfleet was there, tearing her claws through Silverstar's matted fur. She was ferocious. Perhaps Silverstar's weak insults had really gotten to her. "How many lives do you have left now, little leader?" he taunted. "We're not even tired yet! I could wipe out another eight of your lives... But I doubt you have that many." He bunched his muscles and made a huge leap to the side of Silverstar that wasn't being clawed to shreds by his mate. He was going to let Riverfleet tear this life away. He would do the next, and they would take in turns, like a fun game. Exept the results would be deadly for one team.

If not, she'd continue tearing into her throat. Or impale her throat on a stick, if that didn't work. That'd take away all 4 lives.

Foxdung! Silverstar thought as Riverfleet tore into her side. She stayed frozen for a second more, before Cranefeather leapt off her. With a victorious but pained cry, Silverstar gave a hard, swift kick to Riverfleet, whom had latched onto her leg. "Im not done yet!" she hissed, her hind foot making a sastisfying thunk sound as she struck Riverfleet between the eyes. Furiously, she twisted her leg out of Riverfleet's grasp, StarClan's strength flowing through her. I have to end this quickly... she thought, her paw like a grey comet as it lashed out to rake down the black cat's head. She felt something stir within her as her claws dug through fur and flesh, releasing a stream of blood. She glanced at Cranefeather before leaping onto Riverfleet's back, sinking her teeth into the back of the she-cat's neck.

That was it. Adrenaline rushed through riverfleet, giving her the opportunity to attempted to fling Silverstar into the gorge. She took it. If she managed to get Silverstar off of her, it'd be okay. She'd still shove a stick through the leader's windpipe.

Why do I put myself in these situations Whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh, I keep pushing myself even though I can't take it at all, whoa Terror gripped Cranefeather in it's icy claws as Silverstar lashed back at Riverfleet. It felt as if his paws were frozen to the ground. He couldn't move! Everytime Silverstar lost a life, her strength would return. And he and Riverfleet were going to get more and more tired. Already, his paws felt the slightest bit heavier. So, he had to find a way to get rid of Silverstar's lives all at once. The only way he could think of was to take the burden of one of Silverstar's organs off her. Surely StarClan couldn't heal a missing heart or something like that? Now he was going to have to pin Silverstar down again while Riverfleet tore out whatever she could get her claws around. Sounded like it would work. The cold, calculated thinking had removed all traces of fear from Cranefeather's heart. Then he realized Silverstar had her teeth around Riverfleet's neck. If he took her out now, he risked Riverfleet's life, something he could not bear to risk. He yowled in despair. A plan formed itself in his head. He leapt in front of Silverstar and Riverfleet, hissing like a snake. He reared up on his hind legs, so he was even with Silverstar, and clawed at her eyes. "Let go of Riverfleet! NOW!" he growled furiously, his slashes at her ace increasing in tempo.

Silverstar felt, for the briefest moment, like she was on the winning side. That was, of course, before Cranefeather shook off his cold feet. She hissed furiously, her grip on Riverfleet loosening. One swipe just barely missed her sea-blue eye, instead slicing the fur right above so blood trickled into her vision. Furiously, she shook her head, sending the scarlet drops flying into the warm green-leaf air. She released her grip on Riverfleet's throat in doing so, but still clung to her, sinking her claws in as deep as she could. "I don't take orders from half-clan rouges," she snarled, trying to pull Riverfleet to the ground. She was stronger, more experianced than the black-she cat. In a moment, she had pinned her deputy down, a paw on her throat. "Get any closer and you'll watch her bleed to death," she hissed, claws gently gripping the tender flesh.

Make it last forever cause we'll take it slow I hope that you get it I pray that you get it I wish that you won’t stop to don't stop, get it get it Cranefeather hissed as he missed Silverstar's eyes. His legs couldn't stand holding him up any longer, and he dropped back onto all four paws with a snarl. He was preparing to leap up again when Silverstar shook the crimson blood from her eyes and sunk her claws into Riverfleet's neck. Cranefeather spat. While he had succeeded in getting Silverstar to let go of Riverfleet's neck, Silverstar had gotten her claws in. "I don't take oders from halfClan rouges," she snarled at Cranefeather. His lips draw back over his teeth in a low, ominous growl. "Call yourself-" he began, but was cut off. Silverstar had flipped and pinned Riverfleet down, a silver paw on Riverfleet's black throat. "Get any closer and you'll watch her bleed to death," she threatened, claws out. Cranefeather yowled in agony. There was no way he could watch Riverfleet die. There was no way he could let Silverstar live. Somewhere, deep inside him, he knew it could come down to this. Love or power? Power. Riverfleet was strong - she would survive. He just had to end Silverstar quickly. He relaxed his body to look like he was giving up. In a split-second, he dived for Silverstar and had her pinned under his white paws. "Don't touch her," he spat, pressing his face against Silverstar's. He tug his claws in a little tighter, one on each leg. "This is between you and me. It was my idea. I swear, I will... Oh wait, I'm going to kill you anyway," he added, his ice-blue eyes burning with fury.

A bit of red glittered in Riverfleet's eyes. Surely it wasn't there before. She was angry. She was going to use this hatred to rip off Silverstar's paw. The offending one that was placed on her throat. But she wouldn't. She craned her neck to reach for the nearest stick. But now, White fur blocked her vision, and she pressed her face into it, obviously noticing it was Cranefeather. She felt slightly happy, although, it didn't seem that Cranefeather cared about her right now. At least Cranefeather was protecting her.
