No New Posts High Rock

This rock is huge and towers over everything else in the camp. Leaders have used it since the beginning of time as a place to make announcements from.

No New Posts Leaders Den

It has been hollowed out by an ancient river inside to reveal a small sandy cave sheltered by lichen and protected from the sun. At the very end of the cave is the coolest and the most sandy, where the leader makes his or her den. On sunny days the rock heats up and is comforting to be in.

No New Posts Medicine Cat's Den

The medicine cat's den is a large clearing with nests ready for sick cats, and two large rocks forming a crevice where the medicine cat sleeps and where herbs are stored. It usually has a puddle of water in the center, so sick cats do not have to venture out of camp. The den is abundant in ferns and moss, but is not the most well-protected of the camp. Cats in the past have used this place to secretly exit camp.

No New Posts Warrior's Den

A small entrance tunnel leads to the warrior's den, underneath a large bush which shelters the it from precipitation. In the center is where the most senior warriors get to sleep, where it is the warmest, while younger warriors must sleep on the outer edges where it is coldest. There are always fresh, unoccupied nests ready for the next resident. In the corner, where the warriors keep their old bedding and exchange it for new, is a large pile of dead moss.

No New Posts Apprentice's Den

The apprentice's den is made just next to the warriors den, made inside a hollow hillside. Moss overhangs the entrance, and inside it has a cozy feel. Crevices lay on both sides of the den, releasing a sheath of light early when daybreak arrives. Moss and feather beds can be seen at each corner. This is where the apprentices chat, reside, at times eat, and sleep.

No New Posts Nursery

This is the nursery, a fairly large clearing for queens to come during pregnancy and to care for their kits. The ground is soft so they cannot hurt themselves when they play, and it is well-hidden from hawks and other birds of prey. The queens work long and hard on the nursery walls to keep them thick with thorns, which makes the nursery the safest and most guarded place in the ThunderClan camp. Some cats have made a secret exit here, just in case the queens and their kits need an escape route.

No New Posts Elder's Den

This is where the elders go to live out their days in retirement. It is a shady spot underneath a fallen tree, very warm and soft, but occassionally damp, which gives some of the elders bad aching joints. Apprentices and kits often gather around here to listen to the elders tell stories, while warriors and leaders come to listen to their guidance and advice

No New Posts Clearing

This is the center of camp. It is covered in soft dirt and sand, and on one side is shaded by an old tree where the warriors often go to eat. The fresh-kill pile is in the center, near the high rock, and is almost always stocked high with food. New warriors must spend a vigil in the center of camp to fully gain they're warrior name. Sometimes kits come out to play on sunny days, while elders come out occasionally to talk or visit. In winter a thick layer of snow will evenly cover the entire camp, which is the best time for play as long as it's not too cold.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
ThunderClan Camp
ThunderClan camp is situated at the foot of a dry, sandy ravine and sheltered by thornbushes, which makes it hard to attack and easy to defend. The entrance is well hidden and was formed from an ancient river, as was the Highrock inside. Tall ferns and trees keep the birds of prey out while still allowing the sun in. Near the ravine is a small spring, which is a perfect water source, close and accessable. ThunderClan cats are known best for their fierceness and bravery, and they have a stronger build than most of the other clan cats. They are respectful to other clans, but are not afraid to speak they're mind and challenge the warrior code.
