STUMBLEKNOTThere's nothing better than spending a day at the Sunningrocks with no sun, whatsoever. Notice the sarcasm. This didn't bother Stumbleknot very much, however, and a good thing that is indeed. He was feeling oddly sleepy today, and altough the warrior was even-tempered, he can get quite cranky.
Like when the stone is soaking wet.
Luckily, this didn't happen. Stumbleknot just stretched there, like a giant ragdoll, his pelt sticking in clumps from all of the rain. The warrior doesn't get much time to himself everyday, so this was a rare chance, and he was going to make the best out of it.

Yeah, well his plans were jynxed, were they not? Spottedstorm skidded on a puddle of mud, and she frowned, barely noticing Stumbleknot, until she saw him in the corner of her eye. She wouldn't say anything - she didn't want to. Well, she wouldn't say anything unless he said something first. And she'd respond nicely, despite the fact she had just found herself on her back, no thanks to the mud puddle - and the fact that she wanted to shove a vole down someone's throat. And she wasn't focusing on any victim right now - perhaps she'd forget about it anyway.

...S tumbleknot:..: Stumbleknot breathed in the wet, sticky air. Apparently someone else was nearby. So much for privacy. The tom blinked open one eye and chuckled. "Why, hello there, Spottedstorm," he purred casually, "What brings you here to the Sunningrocks today?" He stood up, realizing the uncormfortable drenched wetness of his fur. Sighing, the warrior shook his pelt, sending a shower of droplets from his plain, brown bodice. Stumbleknot purred softly, amused at himself. That question is something I should ask myself.
OOC; Sorry about the pathetic post - running low on muse ._. [/blockquote]

Lay down, sleep my little darling I'll be nothing when you're gone Lay down just like in a coffin Then I'll have nothing but a song Could I leave you in a coffin for real And just leave you in a church
Spottedstorm shrugged, standing up. Her golden fur was caked with mud, and she was annoyed. Overly annoyed. "I don't know." She meowed, unintentional poison dripping into her words. Shoot, this was great. [no muse either.]

...S tumbleknot:..: Spottedstorm shrugged. "Don't know," she said.
Stumbleknot just gave a subtle nod and blinked, just realizing all that mud over the she-cat's bodice. He squat down and mewed, "Well then, you're better off doing something other than rolling in that mushy stuff." The tom leaped down from the sunningrocks, paws landing on the forest floor with a gentle thump. "Unless," he teased playfully, "Unless you're trying to sneak out or ambush me. Believe me, I've had my share of that kind of stuff with my littermates when I was a kit." He paused to lick his bark-brown paw. "Of course you're not a kit, but who could resist those good ol' kithood days?" Stumbleknot looked up at the sky with a wistful gaze for emphasis. As of coincidence, clouds rolled along over the two cats' head in a dark, dark way and with a shatter of piercing light and grumbling thunder, water plumetted down from the sky with the pitter-patter of rain.
Stumbleknot sighed. Just his luck. Well, at least I didn't get striken by that lightn-- he stopped himself. Better not to jinx it. Peering toward the direction of the camp, the tom mewed, "Well, if I were you I'd be heading back now, and that's exactly what I'm going to do," he glanced at the speckled she-cat, "You coming?" Shaking his pelt free of droplets again, Stumbleknot awaited her reply.
OOC; This post is a bit better than the last one, at least xD [/blockquote]

"Good idea." Spottedstorm mumbled, the watery mud sloshing as she stood up. It ran down her legs, and seeped into her fur. This would be easy to get out of her fur, wouldn't it? Yes, Spottedstorm was now in her sarcastic angry mode, but what she said before was anything but that. She'd wait to shake her fur until he moved. She was still angry, but she didn't want to make chaos for no reason. Her fur was caked with mud, giving her a rather weird appearance.

...S tumbleknot:..: Stumbleknot perked his ear.
"Good idea," a mumble came from Spottedstorm's lips.
The deputy let out a laugh. It rolled from his throat, deep but casual, and it felt good, like a massage reaching down into his mouth. It was a funny thought, but Stumbleknot didn't mind. He turned around to face the direction of the camp again. Then he began padding - but stopped; abruptly.
"Just a second here," he purred, looking back at the she-cat. "Don't you think you should groom yourself first?" His eyes glinted teasingly as he mewed, "A warrior like you has a reputation to keep, and is a rolemodel for some. You wouldn't want kits rolling around in mud mimicking you, hmm?" [/blockquote]
