The day seemed to be ordinary enough, the clouds drifted lazily over the sun, sending shadows dancing along the ground of the camp. Things were calm and unhurried, running just smoothly, warriors and apprentices out hunting, or laying around the camp, talking or eating, or even dozing in the sun. It was not long, however, before such peace and tranquility would be quite interrupted.
With a crash, two large cats, one much larger than the other, would crash through the entrance to the camp. Both of these cats were quite dark in color, and their scents were odd and strange... And yet if one paid enough attention, the scents they smelled would be familiar to the ones who had been around a while...
The larger of the two was Sharpfang... He stood over his young daughter, trembling just a bit as he looked around, eyes guarded. He wasn't sure what he expected to find when they got home, but he was ready for anything. He hoped more than anything that his beloved Clan would welcome them back with open paws...
Nightkit stood trembling under her father's huge bulk, glancing around. She had been but a tiny kit when they had been taken away, and now here she was the age of a young warrior... True enough she had not been through formal training and still needed some training yet, though she was certain that she wouldn't need a whole lot more training.
Well for now the two stood there together, simply looking around camp, blinking in confusion, both obviously ready to drop off their paws in exhaustion. Neither had slept nor ate much on their return trip home, only eager to get back to camp after their long long time away.
