Pantherpaw growled at Eaglepaw. How dare he - after she stood up for him against a warrior, who could punish them easily! Didn't he understand? They could talk about it more openly when Owlwhisker wasn't listening! Her temper, which while not as furious and Eaglepaw's, heated up at this accusation. "Mouse-brain!" she snarled, her pupils narrowing. She dropped into her hunting crouch. Maybe she could grab him and drag him off before he embarrased himself even more. She sprang, landing on Eaglepaw who was writhing in the dust. Pinning him down with her claws, she hissed into his ear, "Are you stupid? It'd be easier to figure out what he's up to if he wasn't standing right in front of us!" She had been quiet, so she was certain neither Stormpaw nor Owlwhisker could have overheard her. She bit his ear for good measure and jumped away from him.

Owlwhisker narrowed his eyes at the two angry apprentices. He watched as Pantherpaw pinned Eaglepaw on the ground and bit at his ear. "Really Pantherpaw, I don't think that was nessicary," he growled, then he looked at Eaglepaw and sternly talked to to him as he got up from his writhing sister. "Eaglepaw, just go to Windblaze for some mouse bile. The sooner the ticks are gone the faster you'll recover and the mouse bile stench won't stink that bad," he said gently, "You'll only have to wash it out in a puddle and then you'll be as good as new," he flicked his tail over the apprentice's ears and smiled warmly. He didn't want the apprentice to get a bad impression over it all. Owlwhisker was trying to be fair, but Pantherpaw was pushing Eaglepaw to a descision that wasn't right. He would have to decide what to do about her later.

OOC; feeling lazy - ridiculously lazy .__. Eaglepaw made a face as Pantherpaw scolded his behavior. "Fine!" he hissed just below a whisper, ignoring Owlwhisker's first comment, "Have it your way if you want!"
The apprentice turned around and stopped short as the warrior flicked his tail over his ears. He didn't see the smile. "Knock it off, piece-of-crowfood! Don't forget that I can give you my ticks anytime I want, you know!" he snapped with a glare so short it was done in a heartbeat, for he was quick to whip back around toward camp. The anger burning deep within his chest was too much for him to bear, and being around the initial causes of the problem just fueled the fire.
With a flick of his tail, he dashed away, leaving his siblings and the warrior behind.
And, yes, he was still itching.
