"It doesn't take brains to know that the foul smell means trouble. It doesn't take guts to fight in a battle that you know is right. It only takes heart to know that your friends would stand beside you forever through whatever end would come to you."
A small brown and white she-cat was curled in a ball of tufted fur on the far side of WindClan camp. Her breathing fell slowly and evenly and her pelt was nicely groomed from a long day of relaxation. The grass pushed up to her muzzle as it reminded her of the better days of running throught fields and dancing with friends.
She picked up her paws from where they sat still and pushed herself up to look at her clan. Everything had been peaceful for her life so far, in the forever open moor of WindClan. After a few long moons she had ended up forging the memories of fear away from her even if she hadn't made many friends since coming here. Wolfwind was desperate for them, though she waited in serine silence.
She wasn't sure how the clan was doing now, but she guessed she should go discover whether than sit in sun wondering about it.

...E aglepaw .: Eaglepaw strolled in and out of his den, indecisive of where to stay put. Inside, the moss was old and he was fidgety, wanting to move around. Outside, it was too cold and the remaining snow melted at his paws, making him feel wet and uncomfortable. The apprentice walked outside for one last time, sat down, and sighed, blinking under the glare of the sun. Leaf-bare still has a long way to go, yet all the snow was melting already for some odd reason. Eaglepaw sighed once more.
And what was Wolfwind doing here?
The warrior hadn't been in the clan very soon, but Eaglepaw was still suspicious. "She was a rogue," he heard the others say, but yet he had a tingling feeling that there was more to it.
Wolves weren't common around here, and seldom knew of them. They say they were gray as crumbling stone and vicious as dogs. They look like dogs. But Eaglepaw never met one, and wasn't sure whether he'd want to.
Another thing - Wolfwind always seemed to be daydreaming about something. Whether it was about mouse-brained wolves or chasing nutty rabbits, Eaglepaw didn't know, and it bothered him. He took a quick glance at his wet paws and the shady den, and scurried after the cat, curiousity lingering on his paws.
"What are you doing here?" he mewed, a bit too sourly. The apprentice had never been very much of a social cat. He narrowed his eyes at Wolfwind's thoughtful expression and awaited a reply. [/blockquote]

Wolfwind looked up at the ignorant apprentice. She purred quietly in her throat as he snapped at her. At least someone did rather than look at her like she was crazy. She moved around on her paws and stared at the little apprentice with her glazed, green eyes. She wasn't much bigger than him, but she enjoyed a little fun in her life. "Well, if you must know," Wolfwind said calmly, "I was just remembering how hard it was to live with wolves. Their teeth were bigger than the cat's biggest talons, their stench flooded into your system and let out fumes, and their eating habbits consisted of anything they could find, including foxes, badgers and sometimes cats if they were lucky. I stuck to eating birds and rabbits though." Wolfwind's eyes danced mischieviously at the memories that would get the cats here to call her crazy.

...E aglepaw .: The she-cat didn't wait to answer. Her mews were calm, showing no hint of anger at the apprentice's bitter tone. Eaglepaw's face showed a mistified look as he listened intently to the cat.
Wait - you're listening to this cat? This cat?! Eaglepaw immediately shook his head half-way through and stared, speechless. So Wolfwind was definitely an oddity. Her eyes danced and took on a mischievious look as she reminisced of her past.
Eaglepaw just sat there without a word. His eyes scrolled up and down as he eyed the warrior. What she said didn't seem true. Couldn't be true! It didn't seem far-fetched to hear that wolves ate things as vile as crowfood of course, but to live with them?
Impossible!
Eaglepaw looked at Wolfwind in the face and pawed himself in the head. He narrowed his eyes. "You're talking mouse-brain, right?" [/blockquote]

Wolfwind purred again and started lapping at her white paw and drawing it over her brown ears, washing. "Well, I suppose so, if you think I am, but remember wolves, never tell lies." She drew her paw continuously over her ears. He remained intense on her and she sat calmly looking at his angry eyes. "Why not believe what I say? You believe in StarClan, right? Well, to kittypets and to unlucky prey, StarClan do not exsist, it is mouse-brain. To you, living with wolves is mouse-brain, to me it's a way of life." She stood up and stretched, her back arching and her bones cracking. She then immeadatly laid back down and looked back up at the curious apprentice. "Besides, not all wolves are vicious. Xerca, the only monsterous wolf I know that is still alive, is the baddest wolf of them all. I doubt she'd come here though, she doesn't like skinny meatless prey. If you did meet a wolf you'd better hope its not in the near future, maybe when you resolve in StarClan you shall meet some." Wolfwind chuckled a bit and set her jaw on her paws comfortably.
