dogpaw
a domesticated canid, Canis familiaris, bred in many varieties.

Rowanbelly's litter survived to never meet their father and Raggedstripe was exiled. The kits were fostered by Inkspot - who had had only one kit. Rainpelt had never gotten the chance to name them so Inkspot gave them their callings. There was Swallowkit, Summerkit, and Swiftkit - all girls. And then there was Rock-kit, Inkspot's child. He was the only boy and never got along with his foster sisters.
Now, Dogkit and his siblings grew up along with their half-siblings and they all got along fine. Except, of course, Dogkit - the one who constantly muttered nonsense words to himself. He never got along with any of his family except Swiftkit, his little sister. They were almost exactly the same, only Swiftkit didn't have Schizophasia, but she was fascinated with his disease. She had always been the odd-ball, interested in the weirdest things. She even wished she had Schizophasia or some kind of mental disorder. Swiftkit was Dogkit's only friend and they got along swell. She knew how he interpreted the world and she found it amazing. She knew that every time they played a game she had to let it him win - but she couldn't let him know. Swiftkit learned that Dogkit was a sore loser.
Dogkit became Dogpaw when Novastar was 'still-in-office' and was granted the warrior Turkeyfeather as his mentor. They never trained and if they did Dogpaw would always get aggravated and they'd go back to ShadowClan. One time when they had been training Dogpaw threw a temper tantrum and scratched Turkeyfeather's shoulder. She requested a different apprentice. Dogpaw was left teacher-less and remains that way until Echostar finds him another mentor that will understand and know how to work around his unstable head.[/blockquote]

Are you out there?
Where the rainy days begin
To feel rather sad.
And walls are closing in like the
Darkness around me.
It's so hard to look away when the
Daylight doesn't ever stay.
Above this dull apartment view,
Oh, I will surround you.
It's quite clear that I'm stuck here.
So I'll devise a plan and cut out a
Door in my new living room floor.

I look NORMAL, so why am I NOT ??
His pelt is snowy white and his eyes are a piercing blue. You'd think he'd be deaf - like the typical blue-eyed white-furred cat - but let's not twist up his life anymore.
His face is narrow and sharp at it's edges. His eyes are narrow and keen, constantly on the look-out for 'cheaters.' His nose is rose petal pink and so are his gums. His teeth are ivory - stained from his many killings either out of a temper tantrum or just plain old training. His jaw is distinct and strong, close to daunting. His cheek bones are acute and angular, another obvious point on his face. His ears are triangular-shaped and pink on the insides with fine white hairs covering them on the outside. To continue on with Dogpaw's eyes, they are a beautiful ice blue and his eye-sockets are rimmed with a raw sort of pink. Starting at his inky black pupils would be the darkest of sky blues, then it spans out into even lighter blues until it is almost white as it reaches the extent of his irises. And if you look close enough, you can almost see the insanity in his eyes.
Moving on to his body, which is jaunty and lank - to the point as to where you can see the faint outline of his ribs. You can see the sharp points of his shoulder blades and knobby knees. His paws are small and his tail is the typical feral feline tail-length. His legs are longer than the regular apprentice's, causing him to tower over most of the cats in ShadowClan. He doesn't like his height - no, he loathes his height. Dogpaw doesn't enjoy being taller than his mentor, or the few friends he has.
His pelt is snow white and he blends in perfectly with the fallen snowflakes - the perfect camouflage. And though he may not know it yet, he's on his way to winning the 'game'.
The porch light is so bright,
That I will quickly sneak down the
dark metal shape of the rusty fire escape.
I bought a one-way ticket,
'Cause I knew I'd never
see the ground.
Unless I was aboard a jet plane and
we were going down.
And I woke up beside the ocean and I realized,
I must be in California.

I'm NOT crazy !![/blockquote]
Dogpaw's personality isn't at all what his appearance hints it to be. Instead of noble, brave, and bold, Dogpaw is a sore-loser, nowhere near loyal to his clan, and crazy. He has this disease scientists call 'Schizophasia', but a lot of people refer to it as 'word salad'. It causes him to constantly mutter random words and sentences out of nowhere, and sometimes he doesn't even understand what he's saying. Just a stream of words will flow from his mouth with no apparent meaning and no relationship attached to them. He has trouble organizing his language in a correct grammatical way and there is no considered organization within his words and sentences.
Another addition to his madness - he thinks the world is just a game and that he is just a little pawn in the craziness of it all. And he's intent on winning the 'game'. Dogpaw's a horrible loser and throws a temper tantrum every time he loses any sort of contest. He's a sore-loser and constantly bent on winning much of anything. He doesn't really understand the world and it's rules, so that is why he doesn't follow the warrior code. He doesn't understand it's concept and so - he's not loyal.
The tomcat doesn't get along well with others - he's constantly arguing, and his arguments make no sense. His clanmates are scared of him because they think he's a maniac and his short temper doesn't make it anymore swell.
"Thank you bye, that leaf is a dog and has runs well with mice it sing a song."
Aloha, my happy west coast friends,
Do you feel alive when the breaking waves arrive
And rush all around you?
The beach homes in Oceanside are quite,
Well-known by the evening tide.
And we can sleep where we reside
With redwoods around us.
The blue air is up there and could
I bring it down,
I'd bottle it up and save it for a sweet summer night.

I know I'm not TYPICAL !! he snarled, smacking Rainpelt. Tears ran down her face as she choked out a choppy reply, R-Rowanbelly's... H-He r-r-raped me, R-Raggedstripe! I... I couldn't d-do anything a-about... it!" Raggedstripe's nostrils flared angrily as he stormed out of the nursery, in search of the tom. Rainpelt raced after him, leaving her newborn kits with her fellow queen Inkspot. She was still friends with Rowanbelly and had forgiven him for that fateful night. "W-Wait, Raggedstripe! D-D-Don't kill... h-him!" she cried, running in front of the tom and trying to blockade his way to the warrior's den. "Get out of my way, you sleeper," he hissed, slashing her face with open claws. She fell to the ground, weak from the birth she just recently given. She lay there, dying slowly from the open wound the flowed freely. And in her last dying moments she could hear the screams of Rowanbelly as Raggedstripe ripped open his namesake. Some say she died of loss of blood and others say she died of heartbreak. But, we'll never know.
Rainpelt and Raggedstripe were normal ShadowClan warriors, Rainpelt was beautiful and sweet and Raggedstripe was loyal and strong - the typical average day couple, right? Well, wrong. Raggedstripe had anger issues [which is where Dogpaw received his short temper] and when he entered into a state of acrimony it wouldn't matter who got in the way. He'd tear down the one he loved most to get to the one who pissed him off. And that's how Rainpelt died.
Rainpelt had had the kits by then of course - Dogkit [the one they figured was crazy], Mousekit, Amberkit, Grapekit, and Rushkit. Their litter had just been weaned when a tom named Rowanbelly - who was one of Rainpelt's good friends - forced himself upon the queen. Now, Raggedstripe never found this out, at least, until she had Rownbelly's kits. At first, Raggedstripe thought they were his as she was pregnant with him, but as he saw their pelts and they looked nothing like them, he was infuriated.
"Whose are they?!"
