Sweet dreams that won't come true I'd leave it all for you Brick walls are closing in Let's make a run tonight The sky looked surprisingly like an angry bruise. It was coloured with dull purples, navy blues and dark greys. Before, there had only been a threat of rain. Now it was a definite promise. It was very stormy already, and prey was scattering about searching desperately for food. They were not the only ones searching. Tracking the scent, Cranepaw slid closer to the bushes. His tail flickered in anticipation - he had been waiting for this moment a long time. He prowled closer, preparing to spring. Take that Silverstar! he thought angrily, as he sprang, landing claws-first on his target. A mouse, not the RiverClan leader he so longed to sink his claws into. No, he wanted some cat that trusted him, loved him even, to become leader. Then the deputy would suddenly disappear one night... and bam! Cranepaw was deputy. Then, he would bide his time, sneak in on the medicine cat's conversations with the leader. When he was certain they were on their last life, he could conveniently organize a battle. The leader out of the way, Cranepaw became Cranestar and take over the entire forest!! That was later. For now, Cranepaw had to concentrate on growing, both physically and intellectually. And then become a trusted warrior. And in between all that, find some time for his Riverfleet. Plotting for domination was a tricky business.

"Hello." A someone purred. That someone was Riverfleet. The one who planned to become deputy, to help Cranepaw take over the forest. She had a slightly physicopathic personality, so that helped in the long run. "Whatcha doin?" She asked, curiousity tinting her soft, and gentle voice. The scent of new-leaf caught in her nose, making a smile creep onto her face. It was an innocent one, despite her very slight physicopathic personality, and the faint thought of taking over the world nestled in the back of her head. She kneaded the ground underneath her with her own paws, and sat down. Her black tail-tip twitched with happiness, the smile still creasing her lips.
Oh, and that someone was temporarly deputy.

So I won't hesitate no more, no more It cannot wait I'm sure There's no need to complicate Our time is short This is our fate, I'm yours His ivory claws, ripping through her silver fur... "Hello," a voice interrupted, spoiling Cranepaw's violent daydream. But he didn't mind - it was Riverfleet's voice. "Whatcha doin'?" He smiled at her, flashing pearly white teeth. Basically the same colour as his face. "Waiting for you," he admitted, his pulse starting to race, "And daydreaming." He really, really hoped she didn't ask what about. Then suddenly he remembered the interesting news he'd heard earlier that day. "I heard the news," he told her, "Congratulations. Temporary deputy!" This would put a spanner in the works, so to speak. Cranepaw had no idea what a spanner was though. He was going to have to plan around this. He figured the best way to do this... Was to become a warrior. He was, after all, nearly eleven moons. And now, physically the size of a full-grown tom. Soon he would get bigger than that. Maybe he could have Riverfleet put in a good word for him with Silverstar. He was on fire today! "I was thinking... Am I nearly ready to become a warrior?" [/blockquote]

"Well, you're actually ready, but first, we have to practice fighting, if not that, hunting." Riverfleet answered, flashing him another sweet smile. She crouched low to the ground, and her muscles tensed. She leapt, and landed on an invisible enemy. "Try it, but this time, I'm the target, and no trying to kill me." She confirmed, standing up, and turning her back to Cranepaw, to stimulate the effect that she wasn't paying a molecule of attention. Hmph.
Her love for him made her want to get it over with. No one would know, anyway. She could say she loved some tom in the clan.. No, that wouldn't work.

No one's going to take me alive, The time has come to make things right, You and I must fight for our rights, You and I must fight to survive. "Well, you're actually ready, but first, we have to practice fighting, if not that, hunting," Riverfleet told Cranepaw, flashing an irresistable smile. The white apprentice smiled back. She then proceeded to leap upon an invisible enemy. Her leap, the symmetry, the perfection... Cranepaw drew his eyes away from her. "Try it, but this time, I'm the target, and no trying to kill me," she instructed, turning her back to Cranepaw. As if Cranepaw could possibly kill her! He knew she was really paying attention despite the facade. He jumped halfway into the gap between himself and Riverfleet to make a noise. Then he leapt at her, claws sheathed and landed on her back. "Got you," he purred.

"Please get off me," Riverfleet said sweetly. Cranepaw purred loudly, twitching his whiskers in amusement, and jumped off her bacl. "Sure thing," he teased lightly. "Can't handle my apprentice-power?" Just wait until he was a warrior! The whole forest would tremble in his wake. Now, he had proved his fighting. How about his hunting? Oh yeah, that mouse! Cranepaw padded back over to where he had been standing and placed the mouse in front of Riverfleet. "Now, that's fighting and hunting," he said, the tiniest hint of smugness creeping into his tone. He was impatient. [/blockquote]

R i v e r f l e e t To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world.
"What do you, want to do?" The black she-cat asked, a purr flowing from her chest. She loved him, yes. Riverfleet's tailtip twitched in impatience. Yup, she was impatient as well.
