Shiverpaw Shiverpaw... ShiverPATH tasted the bitter air. It was disgusting, as the smell of the thunder path was strong, though it was a slight way away. It wasn't the safest place, but patrolling the borders was important. The thunder path ran through ThunderClan, yes, but it wasn't far from RiverClan. Not far at all.
She looked back by the patrol that she had come with. She was so proud to finally be in a patrol... as a Warrior. Poppyreed and Riverfleet had come too, Poppyreed having been an apprentice with her along with Riverfleet. Now the young warriors were on patrol... together. She couldn't realize just HOW important this moment was to her. It was probably time to move on, but the patrol had gone quickly...

Riverfleet But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil though shall not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die. Genesis: 2:17
Hmm. Riverfleet had thought, with a thoughtful air surrounding it. The deputy scanned everything, in hopes of finding prey, while the rain continued drumming on the grass near the thunderpath. The horrid scent of monsters caught her scent glands, and she winced. And every time a monster sped past, a spray of water landed on her. It was cold, but not too bad. Her auds swiveled carelessly, incase there was something that might pose as a threat. There wasn't anything, but the temporary deputy was never too sure. As she sat down, her tailtip twitched. Boredom draped over her, and made her want to scream out in anger. She didn't though. It would sound like she was being attacked, or she was attacking someone. Riverfleet didn't feel like being acused of doing something she didn't even do. Of course not. "Hmm." She thought aloud, except for it was only a whisper. A long moment passed before she said something else. "Well, we should patrol now." Riverfleet stood up, and gently shook her pelt to remove the grass that came up with her.Well, there was finally something to do, so her tail stop twitching, and remained still. Her face was still serious, because she managed to suppress any emotion she felt at the moment. Wow. Right now, her emotions were like a line you never realize is crooked, so you don't try to fix it. Just like her extremely slight physcopathic personality. Her paws shuffled, and she managed to move, realizing she was moving torwards the disgusting smell, that was the Thunderpath. Who could make such a disgusting thing, hmm? She took a step back, her black nose wrinkling in digust. The smell was too strong, for such a sensitive nose.

Shiverpath Shiverpath stretched out quickly, straightening up and ready to go. She was excited... Her first patrol as a warrior. But she held that in, mostly, only her tail showing her true emotion and she held a slight sparkle in her icy blue eyes. As her tail swished, she tried to refrain from looking like an overexcited kit. "You lead the way!" She said, nodding to Riverfleet, who was now walking in her general direction - not toward her, but toward the Thunderpath. And then she stopped. She seemed very serious, which was probably a good thing if they were going on patrol.
Shiverpath looked toward Poppyreed, who had not said much yet. This was a big day - their first day as warriors. It was a big concept for her to grasp, but it sounded good.

Poppyreed was happy to be a warrior, but too distressed to truly embrace the new freedom she had gained. Not only had her mentor dissappeared, her best friend had too. Crosspaw...She missed him terribly, and had begun to spend increasing amounts of time in her special hidden spot among the reeds. This made Poppyreed almost afraid to make a new friend. What if they dissapeared too? The times were becoming uncertain for Poppyreed. She sighed. She was lagging behind again, and had to trot back to Shiverpath's side. "Hi." she mewed nervously "Isn't it...different?" Poppyreed paused "Being a warrior, I mean." She fixed her navy blue eyes on her fellow warrior.

Shiverpath Who is this 'Shiverpaw' you speak of? Shiverpath looked at Poppyreed, icy blue matching navy. There was silence in the air for a moment, as she considered her answer... Yes, it was different... but she was the same cat. The same apprentice cat - she had just been given more responsibility - a new name. "Yes. But... no. While we are older, stronger, than most younger apprentices, we are the same cats - we've just been given more responsibility." What she said nearly mirrored what she thought. She waved her tail, awaiting a response.

Sabel
When traveling with no certain way to go, do as the wanderers do, and go wherever your paws take you. Sabel, who was laying down comfortably in tall dark grass at the base of a large oak tree with thick roots, was awoken from her light nap by soft mews coming from near the Thunderpath, as the forest Clan cats called it. She was a few fox-lengths away from them but could still make out some of their words. It was clear they were on patrol. She closed her eyes, parted her jaws, and inhaled deeply. She tasted river, fish, and reeds. RiverClan. Sabel had lingered around the Clan cats long enough to be able to tell them all apart. ShadowClan reeked of stale winds, rotten pine needles, toads, and marsh waters. ThunderClan smelled of green leaves, dry dirt, bird feathers, and warm sun. And WindClan tasted of rabbit pelts, rainy breezes, gorse, and heather. They were all very distinct. Since they were on border patrol for loners, rogues, and enemy Clans on their territory, Sabel wads almost certain they would find her, but there was always a slim possibility that they passed her right by. Sabel weighed her options. She could bolt away towards ThunderClan territory, but then the RiverClan cats would give chase and she would be threatened by the ThunderClanners. Her only other options was to stay quiet in the grass, lay low, and keep her scent masked by the strong-smelling grass. This plan was more likely to work. So Sabel flattened herself to the ground and kept her breathing light but her muscles tense to run at the first sign on danger.
