(OOC: Is deerpaw a tom or she-cat? Lol idk!)
Shortfang waited at the sandy hollow for his apprentice to arrive. He had battle training planned for today. The bright sunlight bathed his pale tabby pelt. Though it was bright all he could see was darkness.... forever.... he was cursed to an eternity of nothing but dark. He was blinded not many moons ago by a rabbit. This would make training Deerpaw as hard as a task as Deerpaw had to learn the stuff. But he fully convinced his leader and clan mates that he was ready for this. He had to prove to his clan just how much he was worth.
He sighed slightly. Would Deerpaw mind that her mentor was sightless? Would Deerpaw give him the same ammount of respect as other apprentices do to there mentors? Even if Deerpaw didn't Shortfang was sure to prove Deerpaw that although he was blind he is as able as the rest of the warriors and he was just as worthy as they were when it came to respect!
But how different would his life be if he wasn't blinded? Had being blind made him see from a different point of view? With sight he had been reckless, ambitious, and self centered. Now without sight he is careing, devoted and above all more wise... He shook theese thoughts away as he waited for his apprentice.

Deerpaw You're so COLD keep you HAND in MINE. [/blockquote] Deerpaw yawned, stretching his tail out as he padded into Shortfang's sight. The young tom's Orange pelt was well groomed, but a bit flattened out. Deerpaw had obviosly been inactive for a few hours. Flicking his eyes around thoughtfuly, he padded up towards Shortfang, brown gaze peircing. He wasn't acting RUDE, he always appraoched others like this before speaking. Deerpaw liked to get a feel for a cat's thoughts before he spoke. "Hello, Shortfang." He scuffled the ground lightly with his white paws and his short tail flicking. Sitting riggedly, he waited for his mentor's response. Wise men WONDER While Strong Men DIE!!!!!!!!

Shortfang dipped his head to his apprentice, "Greetings Deerpaw." He mewed. His blind sightless gaze looked in his dirrection although he definetly couldn't see him. He flicked his tail once wondering how to start. "Well, incase you haven't noticed... yes I am blind.... however this will not stop me from teaching you the proper moves in combat." He meowed enthusiasticly. Already he was starting to feel a strong sense of knowing this would work out well. "' So with that said, any questions? Or shall we begin?"
(OOC: Sorry I'd write more but I'm really tired its like 10:30pm!)

Deerpaw You're so COLD keep you HAND in MINE. [/blockquote] One eye remained open while Deerpaw's other eye closed lazily. He sat, listening to Shortfang untill he had subsided in his speaking. "I have no questions. I am content with starting my training." The young tom flung open his dark brown eyes, matching that of water soaked wood, with a new found energy. "So...what might you be showing me today?" Before he could let his Clan mate answer, Deerpaw mewed, "I have no quarrel over your blindness. Everyone has something wrong with them Some say I am extremely lazy and overly Momotone, but that is just the way I am." At those words, Deerpaws eyes flashed with his rarely showing emosion. He had almost no friends, considering they all thought he was 'boring' or 'superior feeling', but deep down, he wasn't. All he really wanted was a friend, someone to laugh with, play fight with, just talk to.... Shaking his head, Deerpaw brushed away his thoughts. Back to training. Shortfang nodded at his apprentices words. "Nonsence! With me there will be so much fun there will be no time to be lazy or momotone!" He mewed with a friendly tone hopeing to cheer up his apprentice. He smelled almost pin pointing the dirrection of Deerpaw and location he faced in. He would use this for further reference when he was training. "Well... Shortfang started, "I was going to see how battle training worked out... Now I'm not to sure myself how well it's going to work out but perhaps I can learn a bit from you too?" He laughed lightening the mood. He stood up his sightless gaze in the dirrection of his apprentice. "Never underestimate your enemy, and be alert for the element of surprise." He warned then flicked his tail. "With that do come run at me... " He told his apprentice waiting to shock him at how well cordinated a blind cat could be.
