I feel sick, the brown tabby she-cat thought to herself, sneezing quietly in the darkness. Her paws were on the soft moss, with her body crashing the ground and her eyes fluttering open. Her nose was twitching, with snot filling the areas inside. Her teeth hurt for some reason and her limbs felt tired, as if she had no more energy flowing inside her. Ugh.
The sick RiverClanner, Leafchaser, limped slowly to the medicine cat's den, squinting in the darkness. She doesn't know why she feels sick, but her mother always told her to go to the medicine cat's den if she feels anything like this, no matter what. The warrior walked in the darkness until she reached the medicine cat's den and she peered inside.
A soft, little shape was curled on a feather-and-shell nest, breathing in and out so quietly. The fur was a shade lighter than the darkness, making it a very dark gray. It still had some kit fur around it, showing it was a newly-made apprentice. It was definitely a tom, since the ears were sharp and the muscles were much more bulkier on the legs. Leafchaser twitched her ears and almost forgot the name of the medicine cat apprentice until her mind let out a little cry.
Darkpaw.
'Darkpaw? Darkpaw?' the tabby mewed quietly to the sleeping tom, prodding him with one paw.
'Yes?' He opened his wide yellow eyes, staring at her.
'I feel sick.'
Darkpaw was silent for a moment. Then, he sighed and stood up, walking to Wetsplash. Wetsplash was a beautiful long-haired tortiseshell she-cat with white paws and white ears, along with blue eyes.
