CRANEFEATHER
the basics male riverclan deputy
appearance When you look at Cranefeather, the first thing you notice is his gigantic size. He prides himself on being one of the biggest cats around. Because of his size he's incredibly strong, and has his fair share of battle scars, including a very noticable one on his right flank. Cranefeather has a broad face, and piercing ice-blue eyes. When he is feeling warm or happy, his eyes stop being so piercing, but still don't look that friendly. His nose strongly resembles a pink petal, but he'd claw anyone's ears off if they said that. His ears are scarred and torn from battles, however not as badly as older warriors and elders. His teeth are sharp, pearly white, and often bared in a snarl. Cranefeather's fur is short and a bright snow-white. He has very pale and subtle ginger markings on his tail and paws, but unless Cranefeather is standing still in very strong sunlight they are virtually invisible.
personality Three words: psychotic, two-faced, cruel. Cranefeather knows what he wants and does anything to get it. Cranestar never forgets an insult or a mean glance. He remembers it, then when he gets the chance for revenge, he takes it. No matter the cost. Cranefeather's two weaknesses are a. his love of power, although he thinks it is a strength, and b. his tender side. He is very passionate, and whenhe fell for Riverfleet, he realised he would cut out his tongue to get her, and die to protect her. With his fiery temper, they always get into arguments, but Cranefeather always makes it up to her. Cranefeather would die if anyone knew, but he has a soft spot for kits, and unless they get in the way of what we wants, he likes to play with them. So, as you can see, Cranefeather isn't a very nice cat. But he is a talented actor - he masks his true personality, and acts like the other cats in his Clan, and the other Clan's deputies. Cranefeather is also incredibly intelligent, and makes a fearsome foe.
history The reason Cranestar is so messed up is from what happened to him as a kit. His father was a mental RiverClan deputy, Icewhisker, and his mother was a gentle rogue, Stormi. When he was born, Icewhisker attempted to take him to RiverClan, but Stormi would never allow it. So Icewhisker simply killed his own mate and took Cranekit away. This was Cranekit' first memory. With Icewhisker's fiery personality and terrible temper, he was killed soon after when he ran into a WindClan patrol by himself. Cranekit didn't really care - he felt no affection for his father. But this was when he first started to hide himself - he faked grief, and so began a lifetime of false identities. When Cranepaw became an apprentice, he was thrilled and quickly learnt the ways of the forest from his mentor, Greeneyes. At this age, Cranepaw was starting to get a twisted sense of power as the other apprentice listened to everything he said - they respected his talent and his strength. He soon became used to having pretty she-cats fetching him prey and his tom-friends arguing over who got to hunt with him. But then Greeneyes died from greencough, and Riverfleet was appointed as Cranepaw's new mentor. At first the two disliked each other... But then Cranepaw fell in love with her, and through some miracle, she loved him back. They hid their relationship from their Clanmates for fear of being shunned. When Cranepaw became Cranefeather, he was in for a rude shock. As a young warrior, the older warriors all disrespected him and he was practically ignored. It was then that he decided he had to have power. For everyone to listen to him, to obey his every command. His plan grew, and grew, but he needed an accomplice. So he decided to tell his darling Riverfleet, who was now deputy, about his plans. Together, they murdered Silverstar, the beloved leader of RiverClan, making Riverfleet leader and Cranefeather deputy. But he still wants to be leader...
