( Yeah, just a little roleplay with Middy, trying to get some muse back. ThunderClanners, feel free to reply. Middy's just caught a little cold, nothing serious. It's kind of expected in the kind of weather they're having. )
"I don't feel so great..." Midnightstar mumbled to herself. She curled up in her bed of moss, using her body heat to warm it up to a decent temperature. She laid her tail across her nose and shut her eyes tight, willing sleep to come. She was exhausted and cold. Now that Green-leaf had passed, the weather was harsh, with nothing but more dark clouds and snow to look forward to. It was dangerous out, which was why she wasn't entirely happy that Badgerclaw and Willowpaw were travelling all the way to Highstones. The snow was deep and the weather was unpredictable; even the wise medicine cats could make a mistake and find themselves in trouble. Midnightstar squeezed her eyes shut even tighter to force the thoughts away. "They'll be fine," she murmured. "StarClan will guide the way."
I wonder if things are this bad in ShadowClan... Oh, Blackclaw, please don't get sick. Be strong!

The veil of lichen pulled away and Coby came in carrying his Sub-Clan's favorite food; two snakes. Usually they were Gardners but he had heard of MidnightStar's cold and so brought Milk Snakes for he (and I) also had caught a cold and there was only one thing better than rest (and a bowl of chicken noodle LOL,) A newly killed Milky. He padded over and dropped both down, pushing one towards MidnightStar. He dragged the other a ways and began to nibble, sniffling a bit. "Eat it, It brings down the temperature and stills headache. the runny nose isn't one of the things it cures though." He continued to munch, now reaching the neck moaning in anticipation for the next part, the milky acids.

[/color][/font]Flamestripe pulled himself up out of his den, eyeing the clearing through slitted amber eyes. It was cold out, but it was warming up somewhat. He could see Midnightstar at the entrance to her den, sniffling away, and a feeling of triumph pierced him. There was notihng better than a sick leader, the tom decided, wondering vaguely how many more lives she had left to go. He was about to pad over to her and make idle chat when he saw Cobra slipping in through the entrance. His neck fur began to fluff. He really disliked that cat. The apprentice thought he was all that, but Flamestripe doubted he would ever live up to a real Clan warrior. Rising to his feet, Flamestripe padded outside and towards Midnightstar's den. He came just in time to hear the end of Cobra's little speech. "How did you know she wasn't feeling so great? the deputy snapped, placing himself in between Cobra and Midnightstar. There may have not even been a year seperating their ages, but Flamestripe had the utmost confidence in his lean body. "You spying on us? Where did you get a pair of dangerous looking snakes anyways? A true Clan warrior has never touched snake meat. One mistake and you're a dead cat. I suppose you like living life on the edge then, you SnakeClan cats. Is that why you came in here? To Midnightstar's personal den? For all we know, those snakes could be poisonous. I've never liked you outsiders, and I won't start liking you now. I don't trust you or those snakes around my leader," he finished, still standing his ground. He bared his fangs dangerously. Casting a glance back at Midnightstar, Flamestripe wondered how she would react? Would she be angry at him? Was she as naive as he thought she was- Flamestripe had little respect for anyone in this camp, and Midnightstar would believe anything that these outsiders told her. He huffed angrily, still standing between the two. Though if the snakes were poisonous, then it wouldn't hurt if Midnightstar lost a life. The sociopath chuckled grimly to himself. When he became leader, he was going to go straight back to the Warrior Code. So let the flames begin

Midnightstar opened her mouth to reply when Flamestripe walked in and placed himself between her and Cobra, firing off at him. The she-cat's eyes narrowed, more irritated than truly angry. She got to her paws with a sigh and a roll of her eyes. She wished Flamestripe wouldn't act this way; he made her out to be weak, which didn't please her in the slighest.
"Flamestripe, I'm not a foolish little kit. I can take care of myself. Cobra meant no harm, he was only trying to help," she said firmly but not unkindly. She walked slowly around him to Cobra, dipping her head in an apology of sorts.
"Thank you for the kind offer, Cobra, but I'd rather not include snakes in my diet. I prefer to know what I'm eating, and I don't know about snakes like you do," she purred. "I don't need any assistance. It's just a slight cold, it will go away in time. No need to get worried about me."
Midnightstar settled down in her nest again, hoping that was that and the matter was dealt with. She really wasn't feeling up to dealing with squabbling toms.
Cobra, don't get mad. Just back down and walk away to avoid conflict.

(COBY not Cobra) "I'm sorry I didn't realize thats why you don't eat snake. I thought it was because you didn't know about them." He bit into the milk (nope not in britan but I didn't know where Erin bases her tales off of) "Out of curiousity, when will we get mentors? We're 8 mon-8 moons and ready. If not me or any of the others yet at least Cobra. That way we won't make any of these mistakes again. Anywho, you shouldn't be outside of your den MidnightStar. It could get worse. I heard some clan gossip and decided to bring you something." Coby said with a glance at FlameStri[pe. There was something like Evil in this cat. He gave a shudder. He knew he couldn't stiffle this one as easy.

OOC First of all, Flamestripe is a sociopath perfect at disguising his intetions- I seriously kinda doubt that anyone apart from Naara at this point would be able to tell his mutinous thoughts without looking really deeply at him.
an' dude O: You just basically kind of totally ignored Flamestripe there. He's gonna get really pissed, so please don't take offense at my next post when he starts b**chin' at Coby ^___^ |

Stripedfur strolled out of his den, all ready to go out hunting, when he heard a small quarrel from the leaders den. He glanced over in that direction to see Flamestripe about to get upset at a SnakeClan cat. He recognized this one... It was Coby! Midnightstar didn't look well either. And Coby had brought snakes to offer her. How did he know Midnightstar wasn't feeling well? This could get interesting.
He padded over to the group of cats and sat down a short distance away, hoping nobody would notice him, but not trying to conceal himself. He twitched his tail, curious as to what exactly was going on. He awaited Flamestripe's next move.

"Hello, who are you?" Coby said, seeing StripedFur sit down. He finished the first snake and seeing MidnightStar was still not going to take it, started on the second, his eye never leaving FlameStripe's face.

Right now i'm half-asleep and stressing over two different homework assignments that both need to be in in two days, but I left one at school so thats already one I'm not going to get done.  By the way, 'Anywho, you shouldn't be outside of your den MidnightStar. It could get worse.' What Coby said makes no sense, because she's inside her den, therefore why she is curled up in her nest.
