Rainy brings up a good question; How do warriors on here age? Do we call them a moon older every time 30 real days go by, or wait until the admins get their lazy butts together and make a Gathering? (x3) Feel free to post your thoughts and comments here.

I think we should do accordingly to every Gathering (so now my ol' Larksong would be 51 moons x3) since that way they could age depending on the site's activity, so three months later someone wouldn't log on and have to count, "1, 2, 3 - oh, that cat is 9 moons, he's supposed to be an apprentice now!" if the site's activity has been lagging - not that I'm assuming that will happen or counting will be hard for any one of us, of course. xD
But that's just my opinion, and my belief that the cats in the books age as they count the Gatherings. :3

I think the Gathering idea isn't such a good idea. So far, we've ha under five Gatherings on this site. And that would mean our cats would age too slow > can't make them warriors/apprentices/whatever earlier > people get bored > people stop being acting/leave > ITM DIES D: Well, perhaps overdramatic there... But I think every other month is a much better idea.

I see what you're saying, Crane, but wouldn't every other month be slow too? D:
Perhaps the site should follow its own clock, since RP's often go on past the weather change, and it'd be odd for the climate to all of the sudden change...

Hw about every time a staff member changes the weather to a new season, the cats all gain three moons?

Meh not three moons that seems like to much! If the weather changes more often then gatherings occur I guess we could do 1 moon every season change. Most likely be on the slower side but I would rather have slow moons then have my charrie age when nothing has been happening DX
I second with fishy on the books though, they count their ages based on the gatherings and I feel we should do it the same way, and then again people can always speed up their cat's aging, so maybe if they've been active they could maybe skip that last moon to becoming a warrior or apprentice, or even elder!
So basically I second Fishy's thoughts XD Thats how I've been aging my kitties and it feels the most natural. Plus if they were to age three moons in a single period of time there would be gaps in their life I mean...You just got three moons older...And what happened in those moons!? You wouldn't be able to rp them during that leap;p If you know what I mean.

3 moons does seem alot >_<' But I can see what you're trying for, Crane :3
Perhaps, like FireFly said, people can speed up their cats' ages if they feel a need to, but if the cat has siblings...yeah.
Maybe we can find a way to be more flexible, but still work?

i think that maybe we should have them age with the seasons, like Crane said, but maybe two months instead of three? but i kinda think that's bad cuz if you play a kit it'll take forever to become an apprentice! and for apprentices, the way thigns go, it would be liek a long time to become a warrior too and stuff... at least we dont have a butt load of elders. lol

I've already been aging all three of my characters each month since I made their bios.

I am in agreement with the whole one moon a Gathering thing... But if you want to speed up the aging a bit like make your charrie jump ahead a few moons that's flexible... And if they have syblings, that wouldn't be a real problem, just talk to their players about aging with you and come to a comprimise with them... But yea... *Shrug* I am rather random in the way I have my cats age anyway, lol I don't have a set way of doing it. Whenever I think about it I just go ummm... My cat is... This age. And pick it rather randomly with it still making sense. Lol Dunno.

I'm all for wolfkitten's idea. I understand that one best. I mean, based on the first bio, won't you know for example: Dewpaw: she is 9 moons. Based on how long you've been here you can tell from rping how many moons she has gained based on what her mentor has taught her. It's like the series, you dont know exactly how old they are, but you can take a guess if they're one of the younger apprentices or the older; if they are a new warrior or a senior warrior. So, I think you don't really have to keep up with it.
Then again, if you're an apprentice, perhaps the Clan leader and the mentor of that apprentice can PM each other and debate if they are ready to become a warrior or not. They can decide and then if you agree or disagree you can just PM them yourself and ask them.
That's just me thinking out loud though.
