(FFF. Eagleh, I just love Halak XD His accent is amazing~)
Rosethorn watched Shrubwhisker slink away, a hollow feeling in her heart. He was like a son to her; she had spent every day of several seasons teaching him everything she knew. It hurt to think that soon they would have to face a war neither had the heart to fight. Her attention was drawn to strange character being drawn into Duskstar's den, and she was about to follow him when Tumblestep came up to her. Ah. Another young one dear to her heart. Rosethorn still could see bits of Solarwind in the young she-cat that seemed to have fallen for her own apprentice. She missed him terribly. She missed training Shrubwhisker and Tumblestep with Solarwind in the sandy hollow. But most of all, she missed the feeling of security and serenity that the air held, the promise of what was to come. A promises never fulfilled, she realized bitterly.
"Good day, Tumblestep," she rumbled, inclining her head slightly towards the she-cat. I missed another one didn't I... Tumblestep sighed. Rosethorn nodded solemnly. "You would have figured it out soon enough. Duskstar announced that we are to officially attack ShadowClan. I believe he's waiting on word from Cranefeather, but that could come any day now. For all I know, we could be at war by tomorrow," Rosethorn sighed. "He's asked Shrubwhisker, Noxshadow, and Stumbleknot to see him in his den. I have no idea what they're going to discuss," she added, noticing Tumblestep's searching eyes. Rosethorn lightly rested her tail on the she-cat's back, a sign of friendship and affection. Though too choked up with emotion to say it, Rosethorn's dark gleaming eyes said it for her; I hope the best for both of you in the near future.

Ravenclaw paused for a moment, his amber gaze sweeping the empty elder's den. Auramoon was outside, giving the small cove an abandoned feel. Ravenclaw had hoped that would vanish as soon as he finished repairing it. The late new-leaf storms had managed to poke a few holes in the barrier's defense, as well as give the entire den a misshapen look. Riverstar had asked him to fix it up when he visited her in the nursery. Plucking moss and grit from between his claws, Ravenclaw pricked up his ears at Cranefeather's calling. His first reaction was to think of what lucky apprentice would become a warrior today. However, as he padded outside to join his clan mates, it became painfully clear that this was no warrior ceremony. Grimly, he found Morninpaw sitting by Larksong and joined her, glancing curiously at his clan mates for a clue of what this could be about. No one seemed happy.

Skyfire looked sharply at Dreamcloud as she approached, his mismatched eyes speaking for him. Wait, and listen. It hardly mattered, anyway, as Sharpstar began his address, pulling all gazes to him. Skyfire listened grimly, nodding when Sharpstar acknowledged him. Fear and grief weighed down the old medicine cat's heart and his leader spoke of the inevitable war. "I am a blessed cat to have seen such long moons of peace," he sighed softly as Sharpstar leaped down from the Stump. He turned to return to his patients, his mind, like every other in the clearing, searching all it knew for a clue of what was to come. As he pushed further into his den, he caught scraps of Dreamcloud and Sharpstar's conversation. Saddly, he shook his head. I really hope you know what you're doing, Dreamcloud. Sharpstar is right; the battlefield isn't as glorious as you think...

Rainpelt laughed. "If Ghostwalker taught you anything, he taught you a fair amount of fighting. You actually did very well. I have no doubt, that with time and experience, you could most certainly take both of us on," she purred, echoing Pantherpaw's words. Breezefur nodded approvingly, although the thought of Pantherpaw gaining real fighting experience terrified her poor motherly heart. "How about this? We'll go hunting, and practice some fighting tomorrow. However, I will not train you until you can tell me the best place to find dry moss for bedding," Rainpelt said mischievously. Breezefur chuckled at the proposition, curious if her headstrong daughter actually knew the answer. She remembered her own mentor giving her mundane things like that. Gathering moss wasn't the most glorious thing an apprentice could do, but it was most certainly necessary knowledge.

Ravenclaw held back his laughter as Smokepaw dragged an incredibly cranky Larksong out of the warrior's den. She had quite a vocabulary. His earlier misgivings melted away as friends and Clan mates surrounded him, his family. Even little Flaxkit, he noted with a grin. He watched curiously as the tiny ginger tom jumped from teasing him to attempting to stalk Smokepaw. The old black tom laughed uproariously as he missed his target, crashing into Smokepaw's paws. "Oh yes. I'm sure you'll two will be the best of friends, right Smokepaw?" he snickered. He could imagine Flaxkit terrorizing the timid Smokepaw by racing about and putting him in uncomfortable social situations. He was off in his own imagination, so he only caught the first half of what Flaxkit said. "You'll get to go to the woods when you're an apprentice. Besides, it's much safer for you in camp with ShadowClan lurking around."

Cinderkit![Ashes; A partly charred substance that can burn further but without flame.]
[Female] [RiverClan] [<1 moon] [Kit] [/right] ____________[LOOKS] Cinderkit is often joking called a perfect balance of Cranefeather and Riverstar. She has Riverstar's grace and agility, as well as her generally slim build. However, in the future, she will show to be as muscled as her father, and will just almost be able to see him eye-to-eye. Other than that, she also has Cranefeather's delicate petal-shaped nose, but a much more triangle-shaped face than her father. Her mouth is nice and neat, rather average apart from her shiny white teeth. If you didn't know Cranefeather was her father, her startling eyes would make it clear. Piercing ice-blue eyes pop out from her dark face. When she turns those eyes on you, you can't help but feel like your soul is laid out for her to see. Nothing can be hidden from those eyes. But as intimidating as those eyes can be, they can also be lite by good cheer, and they're seemingly softened by Cinderkit's wise, motherly air. Cinderkit has the standard thick, oily RiverClan coat, for protection against water. Her pelt is a shade of grey - that dark grey right in between white and black, the colours of her parent's fur, although in light she has darker undertones, closer to her mother. She has a lean, whip-like tail, often wrapping calmly around her paws or lashing back and forth in fury.____________[PERSONA]Cinderkit is constantly eager for a new lesson on life. She's often found with the senior warriors and elders, listening to anything they have to say. Because of this, Cinderkit will become a wise, thoughtful warrior. Also attributing to her intelligence, she is quiet, much more content to observe someone than talk with them. Though if you do ask for her attention, she was happily carry on a conversation until a new duty calls her away. Be careful what you wish for though; Cinderkit has opinions about everyone, and if prodded enough, she will fearlessly share these thoughts with you. Though normally very tolerant of other cats, if you try her one to many times she will lash out at you, her fiery temper leading to some impressive arguments, almost always in her favor. And though she tries to hide it, Cinderkit does hold grudges. Often, if you catch her glaring at you icily or seeming stand-offish, it's because you've wronged her somehow. She, like her father, has an impressive memory for insults or mean-spirited actions. But her passion for her clan mates will always over power her hate in battle.____________[HISTORY]Your character's history. If you have a kit, talk about their parents. 100 words long minimum. ____________[FAMILY].Cranefeather. - Father ~Riverstar~ - Mother !Lazulikit! - Brother @asterkit@ - Sister #Bloodkit# - Brother____________[PASSWORD]Has been changed. [Heh. Heheh. Sorry for poofing like that o-o I see my assistance is needed here~] Skyfire watched the scene, cringing a little when Dreamcloud ran into a tree. He was at her side almost as quickly as Pollenwind, his eyes flicking up and down the warrior's body. No noticeable injuries, at least. "Dreamcloud, why didn't you come to me when you first noticed all these fleas?" Skyfire sighed, sniffing the she-cat's now muddy pelt. It was no wonder she crashed into the tree. Running and scratching were not a successful combination among cats. Gently, Skyfire touched his paw to Dreamcloud's head, running it softly over the soft fur. "You've got a little bump, but I don't think it's too serious. Mind you, it doesn't matter where I am. If you get hurt, I would race home from Mothermouth," he insisted, although he knew the words drifted in one ear and out the other. Skyfire continued to nose through Dreamcloud's fur, trying to get an idea of how many fleas she had so he could adjust his stores appropriately.

Despite Sharpstar's offered pass, Skyfire hovered in the entry way of his den. He watched with his weary and mismatched eyes as his leader took the customary position atop the Stump, calling to his Clanmates. Thornpaw slipped past him to sit beside Infectedsoun, who sat bristling below Sharpstar. Dreamcloud emerged from the warrior's den, curious but cautious. Skyfire made a mental note to check up on her later. She seemed fine, but he wanted to make sure she wasn't getting anymore fleas or in case the bump on her head had started to swell again. Secretly, he also wanted to check her eyes. It was a miracle she still had half her eyesight. Thinking about these things made Skyfire more aware of the fact the his own eyesight was dulling. Sharpstar on top of the Stump was not as clear as he had once been, although Skyfire couldn't have missed the dishonored leader if he had tried.

Rosethorn and Shrubwhisker both looked up from sharing tongues, curiosity in both their eyes. They quickly rose, skirting the fresh kill pile they had been lying next to. "I hope this is nothing more than an apprentice ceremony," Shrubwhisker whispered fretfully. Life had been good since ThunderClan and RiverClan combined; there was always prey for the warriors and herbs for the medicine cats. The days were cooler with the river to rest by. But WindClan and ShadowClan still had refused Duskstar's idea, though no moves were made to attack that Shrubwhisker and Rosethorn were aware of. "I hope so too, although Duskstar looks far too serious for a simple apprentice ceremony. As much as I hope your right, I have a sinking feeling this isn't about kits," Rosethorn whispered back solemnly. Shrubwhisker's eyes grew wide, but he stayed silent, patiently waiting Duskstar's announcement.

Rainpelt and Breezefur both looked up, surprised. "Why, hullo Spicestar," Breezefur said cheerfully. "We were just chatting about you and Ghostwalker," she purred. Rainpelt nodded, her ears twitching excitedly. What wonderful timing, Spicestar. Odd that he's out and about all by his lomesome, though, she thought, kneading the ground with her paws. "We were discussing how busy you and Ghostwalker are these days, and how hard it must be to train an apprentice on top of all that. Rainpelt and I were going to teach Pantherpaw a trick or two, and it occurred to us it might be better for Pantherpaw as well as Ghostwalker to let Rainpelt take over her training," Breezefur continued. Neither she-cat could imagine Spicestar saying no, but Rainpelt was prepared to argue if need be. An apprentice of her very own! The thought excited her. It was about time, after all!

Rainpelt sighed, twisting around to wash her back. "Riverstar and Duskstar have bees up their butt if they think they're going to get away with all this," she growled, biting down on a tick. Breezefur shot a warning look at her half-sister, pulling away from Pantherpaw, finally satisfied that she was clean. "Can't blame him. Perhaps me and Rainpelt could teach you a thing or two. I'm sure Ghostwalker wouldn't mind," she purred. Rainpelt's eyes gleamed at the opportunity. She had always wanted an apprentice. She was sorely disappointed when she wasn't assigned any of Breezefur's kits, as they were probably the last set of kits for their generation. "You know, maybe we could even convince Spicestar to let one of us take over training. It would sure make it easier on Ghostwalker," she said slyly. Breezefur nodded in agreement. She wanted her daughter to be a strong, respected warrior as much as anyone, and there was no way that would happen without some proper training. Not to mention she trusted Rainpelt with her life.
