Biographies are the basis of all Role Playing. Bad biography, bad cat. Think of Biographies as the structure for a huge tower. Weak structure, and the whole building tumbles down. Same thing with cats....So here we go!
Step 1: History or Personality
Most people make cats with a goal in mind, a set idea of the cat. Sometimes it is the looks, a personality they want to RP, or a cool idea for a history. History or Personality: the first steps to making a bio. If you begin with history, you build the personality off of the life experiences of the cat. If you begin with personality, you build the history with "What events shaped this cat's personality" in mind. Either way those two are interlinked to the extreme, and both very important. Completing the history also tends to fill in the "family" part as well!
Step 2: Physique
The best way to get a good description is to start with the head, then go to the torso and fur, then the legs and tail. It also helps to google "cat" and figure out what you'll be describing. So for head describe the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and neck. Torsoe and fur? How long/short the torso and fur is, plus if the fur is glossy, thick, etc. Legs and Tail... Long or short? Thin or muscled? special markings? You get the idea.
Step 3: Name, Clan, Gender, and Rank
Name: Refer to the description for your cat for this. The name of a cat is often decided on physical attributes. So pick an attribute-speed, for example- then go to "thesaurus.reference.com" and find a nice synonym. If your cat is an apprentice, consider possible warrior names when making your choice.
Clan, Gender, and Rank: By this time, you have probably decided this, so fill it out quickly.
Step 4: Double Check
Now that your biography is complete, read it over again. Check spelling, etc. Also make sure that each part meets the requirements. While you read, check to see that you don't start sentences the same way every time. If it looks fine to you, then submit it for the Admins to approve.
PS- If anyone sees something I missed, please tell me so I can add it in.
