Midnightstar's eyes widened at Bluestar's and Echostar's announcements. Is that even possible? she thought. She'd been leader for a while now, and never had she considered giving her position up. This was completely insane. She gathered herself quickly, seeing it was her turn, and took a small step forward. "Congratulations to Spicefur and Sharpfang," she said evenly, looking down at the two where they sat in the crowd. "ThunderClan are striving. We have a new deputy, Iceleaf." She paused to let all the cats have a look at the new deputy. "Our prey is running well." She stepped back into her place and nodded at Riverfleet.
Ooc; Sorry it's so short. >.> I couldn't think of much else to put in there.

Cranefeather's breath quickened as Midnightstar finished her meaningless speech. Oh. Dear. StarClan. It was time for his and Riverfleet's announcement! Ignoring standard ettiquette, he bunched his muscles and leapt up onto the rock beside her. Anyone going to give Riverfleet trouble would have to think twice with Cranefeather, the huge white tom, standing next to her.
(sorry that was short as well - I just needed to put Craneh up there x3)

"dfpknwefjnwienwetiwefjsndfjwee wtf Cranefeather, why are you up here?" She whispered to him. "Before we get to the bad news,"
[/b] Riverfleet spoke, "I'd like to say that prey is okay, and we have a nice full river, although, it is getting colder." She added. Now she would get to the bad news. " The bad news, is Silverstar was killed by rogues and we tried to save her, but sadly, StarClan decided it was the end. "Riverfleet looked down and shook her head in false disbelief, grinning smuggly. Now that's over, we just need to get to Moonstone. After this. She had thought positively. But this wasn't going to be easy. The other clans would find out somehow.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Rouges?" Hissed Cobra, "When? We have heard nothing of this?"
EmberGaze thought to herself that it was good to get rid of a weak leader and when the strange scented cat spoke up, she hissed in anger.

What?! Cranefeather thought furiously. Anger took over his body, freezing his muscles, rooting him to the spot. He sat there, struggling to contain his sudden rage. His breath came in hard rasps. She has supposed to declare war! Why didn't she?! Cranefeather wanted to screech, to claw everyone's faces! His body trembled with the sudden furious energy rushing through his body. He stood up stiffly and leapt up next to Riverfleet. "You... forgot... what we... agreed... on!" he snarled quietly. "Say it!" His claws dug into the rock. Ow. The anger had made him stronger than usual. He subtly withdrew his claws and jumped back to his original position. He was shocked at himself, but he wanted to strike Riverfleet, his mate. Oh, StarClan. Now he knew what was happening. The white monster inside of him was clawing, snarling furiously, trying to escape. He shuddered, remembering what had happened last time he let it out. The blood in the water... It still haunted him in his nightmares.

riverfleet You're lying to yourself again Suicidal imbecile Think about it, put it on the faultline What'll it take to get it through to you precious Over this. Why do you wanna throw it away like this Such a mess. I don't want to watch you. Disconnect and self destruct one bullet at a time What's your rush now, everyone will have his day to die
"Snarl at me again, and you will not, I swear, you will NOT be my deputy. I don't know who your talking to, but you certainly will NOT talk to me like that. If you remember, I can exile you. But I won't, if you respect your leader." Riverfleet whispered in anger, like a parent whispering angrily at their misbehaving child. "We have picked up traces of Clan cats that aren't in our clans, so keep your paws off our borders, or we'll have to attack. Riverfleet meowed, her words echoing through the four trees. Obviously, everyone heard her. In other words, she thought, we declare war. She finished her thought, smiling faintly in approval.

Ravenclaw's head snapped up, his amber eyes widening in surprise. Two leaders retiring? In one night? Some cats looked just as shocked as he, confusion and disbelief hovering over their moonlight features. But still the moon glowed, a silver medallion in the sky, unhindered by the wispy clouds that hovered around it. He quickly turned his attention back, catching the end of Midnightstar's report. Then it was Riverfleet's turn. Cranefeather scrambled up beside her, looming over the she-cats. For unknown reasons, Ravenclaw felt a restless unease stir within him, and he fell silent listening to Riverfleet. She paused, and Cranefeather whispered something to her before joining the warriors on the ground again. Riverfleet paused a moment longer.
"We have picked up traces of other Clans on our territory, so keep your claws off our borders, or we'll have to attack." But... I've been on almost every patrol lately. We've never picked up any out of place scent markers. What is she talking about?
Shrubwhisker bristled. "ThunderClan hasn't set foot on your territory!" he snarled. "We stay within our own boundries!" the brown tom glared at Riverfleet, his green eyes flashing. Rosethorn glanced at him, but didn't protest to his outburst. Secretly, she agreed with her former apprentice. ThunderClan had done no wrong. Although Riverfleet hadn't mentioned any Clan specifically, she glared accusingly at all three leaders, as if daring one of them to admit their fault. Rosethorn kneaded the ground thoughtfully. The forest was defiantly changing. Riverfleet's more aggressive demeanor suggested that the peace that had been settled over the Clans for almost four seasons now was about to end, and it was not going to be pretty, especially since WindClan and ShadowClan were recovering from the shock of their retiring leaders.
Rainpelt leaped to her feet, yowling in protest. "WindClan has been hunting on its own moors for moons!" she challenged, arching her spine. Her protest seemed to be echoed by many, from all Clans, especially ThunderClan. She smirked at the response until shadows suddenly fell across the clearing, silencing them. Dozens of heads turned upward to see the moon hidden behind several clouds, the stars shining furiously. Rainpelt laid her ears flat against her skull, biting back her words. Surely StarClan wouldn't let Riverfleet make such brazen accusations? It almost called for war, the way she sat so stubbornly, daring the cats to deny StarClan. And what was with that big deputy of hers? Was he up there to just remind the others of RiverClan's strength? Rainpelt felt a sudden sense of loss for Silverstar.
"StarClan has spoken! This Gathering is over!" Bluestar called, bringing the Clan's attention back down to earth. She leaped down from her perch, and signaled her Clan to gather. She trotted up to Spicefur, still in shock. "Go ahead. Lead your Clan out," she purred, gesturing with her tail.

Cranefeather hissed quietly as he heard Riverfleet's words. How dare she?! He wasn't some foolish kit! If it weren't for him, she wouldn't even be up there... But, if two leaders perished within a moon of each other... Too suspicious. No. He'd have to bide his time. As soon as Bluestar announced the end Cranefeather turned around and stalked off angrily. Ha. If Riverfleet tried to exile him... He'd lie. She murdered Silverstar by herself... Told him... But when his conscience got to him, he had to tell... That's why he was being exiled. Perfect. Smiled bitterly to himself, his white pelt blended into the forest as he headed towards the river. This time, he could repress his anger...
Spicefur stood in shock as Riverfleet announced cats had been on RiverClan territory. ThunderClan cats, and some of... his... own, yowled protest. He knew for a fact no WindClan cat had been within several foxlengths of the border. After all, he and Greenheart were the last two to have gone that way! He grunted in annoyance, but otherwise ignored Riverfleet's accusing comments. WindClan could fight them off if they attacked... They had the advantage on high ground. But RiverClan were so strong... He eyed the huge white tom as he slipped into the forest. If all their cats were that big, though... He glanced at Bluestar as she leaned in and purred to him. Yeah, WindClan... his Clan. Now he'd have to pick a deputy. His first thought was of Greenheart, but he'd have to just talk to everyone else first. See who they liked... He motioned for everyone to follow him, copying what he remembered of Bluestar's leadership. His head whirring with deputies and wars and battle plans, Spicefur leapt off the rock and lead his Clan to their home.

The moon glared at Riverfleet like a dissaproving face, and she squared her shoulders. The she-cat gave a mightly leap off the rock, and called out for RiverClan. "C'mon."She murmured, chasing after Cranefeather. The shadows stretched over her like hands, although she wasn't going to let herself get caught in them. She smirked, still running. She had caught up with him, but skidded to she skidded to a hault before she collided with him. "Sorry." Riverfleet sighed, moving to his side. Right now she wanted to hurt him, or maybe even turn against him, but she wouldn't. She loved him too much to do such a thing.

"And SnakeClan has not set foot upon your lands in moons! Maybe this is a ploy? ShadowClan has not been spotted or scented on our lands and so they couldn't have reached yours. You cannot hope to isolate yourself! You Slop-Eaters!" Yowled Cobra in a fit of indignant rage at their retreating backs.

Cranefeather could hear pawsteps behind him. His ears flattened - he could recognize the smooth rythym of Riverfleet's gait. She bumped into him. He spun around. "Sorry," she said. Cranefeather relaxed, gazing into her silver eyes. He sighed. "Me too, love. Sorry I got a bit carried away." He stepped next to her and twined his tail around hers. But suddenly, an enraged yowl pierced the silence. Cranefeather snarled as he heard the words. "Be back," he murmured gently to Riverfleet, and sprinted back to the Clearing. He stood in front of the cat, towering over him. "It would be healthier for you if you would keep your mewling mouth shut!" he growled menacingly. He spat at the ground in front of the cat's paws, whirled, and ran off before the cat could say anything. Useless fool. He skidded to a halt at Riverfleet's side, his ice-blue eyes soft, only for her. Silently apologizing, he brushed against her and started walking back home.

Midnightstar sighed and shook her head. "Complete insanity... she muttered as she leapt off the Great Rock to join the others in the clearing. "Follow me, ThunderClan!" she yowled.
Blackclaw hissed angrily at Riverfleet's accusations. "ShadowClan could take them on!" he said to himself. He thought of Stormkit and how she was going to become an apprentice soon. If any cat even tried to hurt her, Blackclaw would rip their throats out. He hissed again before looking around to locate Emberstar- or was it Sharpfang now? He was so confused.

Cobra lead SnakeClan over and then Hissed at Coby. Nodding, Coby leapt off into the underbrush, heading to rouge lands. Cobra nodded to Snake, who then ran back to ThunderClan territory. It was time for a hunt. Cobra then lead the remaining 2 after MidnightStar.
EmberGaze looked at the departing RiverClanner with a grin of admiration.

Sharpfang listened to the meeting, pride swelling his already large chest. This was supposed to be a wonderful meeting where he was announced deputy, himself and his little one having returned to the Clan. He listened patiently to the news of the other clans before his own, and yet when he heard Bluestar's words, his ears pricked forward with worry for the she-cat. And yet she soon announced that she would be retiring. And leaving Spicefur in charge. Indeed he didn't know Spicefur well... He glanced around for a moment, allowing his attention to waver as he sought out his sister... She had to be here... She just had to. But WindClan had come in late... Where was she...
Snowpelt had, indeed, come in with the other WindClan cats... She weaved expertly around but settled with a few of her own Clanmates... She glanced around, but soon caught the sight of the hulking form of her beloved brother. She smiled warmly. So it was true... She sighed softly and nodded. He was safe and home... Shock was soon written all over her face as she looked back and heard her beloved leader take her turn to speak. She was retiring? She shivered a bit, not sure if this had ever happened... Never that she knew of... But for now she remained quiet... Goodness the cat should have been a Medicine cat with how calm and tranquil she often was... But she took this information in and trembled a bit, uncertain of the future of her Clan. Either way she would fight well to protect it. Well she would then listen as Echostar would take a turn to speak, nodding gently. She had been shocked at Bluestar's words, but said nothing. And yet soon she heard Echostar echo much the same of what Bluestar had said. Echostar was retiring too... But that meant... Sharpfang was... Leader? She grinned broadly. Her brother... Leader of ShadowClan... She sighed gently and nodded approvingly as she finally met his gaze. But to her utter confusion, it held terror...
Sharpfang had been expecting the honor of being announced Deputy at this meeting and yet... No. It was more than that... Echostar was retiring! So soon? So soon after he had gotten back and now she was throwing this responsibility on him? It didn't add up! But the look of terror he tossed his sister was quickly squished. He needed to be strong for his Clan. He rose his head and nodded in understanding to Echostar. Though he would have preffered to have heard it from her before this... But he would take his responsibility in full stride.
Sharpfang watched as Riverfleet now stepped forward to speak, but the tom Cranefeather leapt up beside her. Alright so he was large, but Sharpfang was easily as big, perhaps even bigger. Sharpfang watched as his leader darted out of the clearing and he cringed. ShadowClan could not appear weak. Well... Without hessitating, Sharpfang leapt upon the rock that ShadowClan might have a presence there. He stared at Cranefeather, unblinkingly, unwaveringly... He narrowed his eyes as he watched and listened to the pair. He couldn't quite make out all the words, but he listened to Riverfleet's announcement. Yet it was not long before the treacherous cloud drifted over the moon.
Sharpfang's ears leapt back to pin firmly over his head, his whole body a bristling mass of fur and muscle. He hissed slightly, but said nothing... Sharpfang had never been one of many words... And yet, he would leap off the rock before yowling. "ShadowClan with me!" And then he would take off toward his territory. He wouldn't go but a few pawsteps before glancing back to be sure he had gathered his beloved Clan behind him. Once he had, he would take them home. Goodness he hoped he could talk Echostar out of retiring...
Snowpelt watched and trembled. She didn't want her beloved brother to have to bear all this alone, but how could she help him... She shook her head a little, not understanding as Riverfleet spoke. Surely WindClan had not stepped paw over their border... WindClan had always been honorable... If not a little skittish... But in any case, soon enough the clouds hid the moon, and sent the whole clearing into an uproar. She sought her brother, but then realized running with him would not be a good idea. Instead, she turned and looked to her leader... Spicefur. She trusted this cat as much as she trusted Bluestar... Now she would follow him as he led their beloved Clan from the now truce broken clearing.
